Good idea dying slowly
This started like a good idea. I was one of the early adopters. The whole philosophy about being against censorship was very appealing and while it never gained a lot of traction, Minds was a good corner of freedom in a sea of curated and "verified" content. Then they tried to monetize it around a blockchain token. Some people tried to game that, but eventually when the crypto market crashed, it brought the whole ecosystem down by rendering it worthless. Then, Minds started forming large echo-chambers, where people with slightly different ideas suffered bullying. Also, despite still being free of censorship, the main ideas that echo the loudest on the site are quite passe. Conspiracy theories which were loud and active about 3 years ago, been disproven, or superseded since then, are somehow still live and active on Minds. Also, as this is so niche, I don't really have any real life friends on Minds, so I rarely use it these days, as it's dying.
