I had 2 options when it comes to publisher.Milford vs Spine publisher.Milford company people told me with this company you only have to pay $500.It was September 2025.I paid in full therefore for several books.Everything was supposed to be ready for Christmas sale.When I call that day ,I was told that Cris Jordan,the one in charge of my projects,went to vacation.I lost that opportunity to make money because someone went to vacation to have a good time without any person to cover for him.In January,they start asking me for additional money and I religiously sent the money.After a while,someone from the company called me to say to me that the company haven't received any money from yet ;attempted theft.In March they missed the deadline for a second time.They simply told me they have too many customers.I lost the opportunity to sell again and have the concert I planned for.They said next week .Next week I asked about the book.They simply turn off the phone on my face.I used a different phone.When they realized it's me they turn off the phone on me face.I left a previous comment and they called me to remove the comment online.I talk to them and said you don't have to give me my money back.Just give me 1 book.They ended up saying that they just going to keep the money.I am still hoping for positive outcome from this because it's frustrating.It's frustrating that they attempted to steal my money.It was a terrible experience so far for me!I paid a total of $10300.

My Experience With Milford Publishers I had a positive experience with Milford Publishers when it came to the design and presentation of my two books. I was pleased with the covers and the work that was done to bring my books to life. Unfortunately, my experience changed when it came time to receive the royalties outlined in my publishing agreements. Despite my books being published, I have not received the royalties I was expecting under my contracts. Instead, I have experienced continued requests for additional payments and ongoing discussions about services and website compliance rather than receiving the royalty payments and accounting information I believe I am entitled to under my agreements. As an author, I trusted Milford Publishers with my work and expected the terms of my contracts to be honored. The lack of resolution regarding my royalties has been extremely disappointing and has left me feeling that my concerns have not been adequately addressed. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage authors to carefully review every contract, understand the royalty terms, request detailed sales and royalty statements, and document all communications and payments before entering into an agreement with Milford Publishers. I am sharing my experience so other authors can make informed decisions and protect their work and financial interests.

Milford Publishers is a horrible company. If zero was an option that’s what they would have received for their rating. My experience with Milford Publishers has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. I paid for services that remain incomplete, and I am still waiting on books that were supposed to be delivered but have never arrived. Communication throughout the process was poor, deadlines were repeatedly missed, and the quality of the work I received was often sloppy and required multiple corrections. I found myself constantly following up for updates and answers, only to receive inconsistent information and unmet promises. My experience working with Robert Garcia was especially frustrating. In my interactions with him, I found him to be rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. On multiple occasions, when deadlines were missed and I attempted to discuss the status of my project, he ended conversations abruptly and hung up the phone instead of addressing my concerns. As a paying customer, I expected professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication, but that was not my experience. What makes this situation even more upsetting is that I invested my hard-earned money into publishing services with the expectation that the agreed-upon work would be completed and delivered. Instead, I have experienced delays, poor communication, incomplete services, and ongoing issues that remain unresolved. Authors place a great deal of trust in publishing companies to help bring their work to life. Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, Milford Publishers did not provide the level of service, professionalism, or reliability that was promised. I cannot recommend Milford Publishers and encourage other authors to thoroughly research their options before committing their time, money, and trust.

My experience with Milford Publishing was absolutely horrible. Things started going wrong immediately after I gave them my deposit. In the beginning, everything sounded professional, but once it came time for them to actually complete the work and provide the deliverables they promised, the problems began. The agreement was for them to format and upload my book to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and Barnes & Noble. To this day, I am still waiting for them to fully complete the work they originally promised. One of the worst experiences involved the delivery of my books. I was told the books were being delivered, and someone was even waiting at my house to receive them. Then I received a phone call from the company claiming no one was home to accept the delivery. The problem is — I have cameras outside of my home, and no one ever came to deliver anything. No delivery truck. No person. Nothing. After that, they attempted to charge me an additional $100 to “redeliver” books that were never delivered or, from what I could tell, never even properly published in the first place. On top of that, I recently received another phone call from someone claiming his name was “Paul,” but it was actually Robert Garcia pretending to be someone else. That level of dishonesty is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The work they provided was sloppy, communication was misleading, and every conversation seemed to turn into another attempt to get more money out of me. Do not do business with Milford Publishing. These people at Milford publishers don’t deserve even a zero, they are crooks and I am seeking to bring the law on them real soon. You trust them with your hard earned money and they lie, and they constantly run you down, calling you over and over until they can rob you of your money and then you don’t hear anything from them…!!!

BEWARE/BEWARE/BEWARE/AVOID: After constantly delays and lying to me about what could not be done (they said), the writing team finally got my eBook correct on Amazon but it is still a wreck on Barnes & Noble. If they could fix their errors now, why didn't they do that weeks ago? And why is my eBook on Barnes&Noble a mess? The writing team has refused to fix THEIR MANY ERRORS on the eBook on Barnes&Noble and instead threatened to take it all down and not do business with me. Because of that, my wife and I do not want them accessing our accounts and I have legally notified them not to. The writing/production team efforts are NOT the 100% satisfaction guarantee on their website. If I went with another company, which I guess I may have to, my wife and I have lost all that time waiting. I have spoke with this company at least 20 times and they are great in offering assurances, but not results. They called today and when I called back 1 minute later, no answer. This company keeps begging me to retract my complaint, but they keep leaving me without things completed as I trusted them to do. Milford satisfying the customer is not being perfect, but it is doing what you said you would do - not dropping a customer and threatening to take everything down which you did complete. That shows you do not care that YOUR delays would throw the customer further behind and require me to use another company. We have places that have been waiting and waiting for this book to be completed. Stop half-stepping writers/production team of Milford Publishers. And don't be so quick to say what can't be done and stop blaming the customer for YOUR ERRORS! Not to mention Robert Garcia (if that is his real name) who was disrespectful, insulting and unprofessional. I owned an IT company, I was a graphics designer and a webmaster, so stop being so dishonest guys.

AVOID MILFORD PUBLISHERS - Paid in full, zero results, and unprofessional staff. I am writing this to warn other authors to stay far away from Milford Publishers. I submitted my manuscript in November 2025 and paid their fees in full. Since then, it has been a nightmare of neglect and unprofessionalism. Initially, I was assigned to Chris Jordan, who proved to be completely untrustworthy. I was then moved to Robert Garcia, who is not only unhelpful but remarkably uncivilized and dismissive in his communication. As of February 12, 2026, my book is still not published. They have my money, but they have provided no timeline, no progress, and zero accountability. This isn’t a publishing house; it’s a black hole for your hard-earned money and your creative work. Save yourself the stress—publish elsewhere.
