Question Accuracy
Unit has a lot of features, but when I take point-to-point measurements and then double check with a single measurement, I get consistently different results. And the documentation manuals are scant. Reply to customer service: The device was mounted to a tripod, and put in tripod measuring mode. I assume you mean the tripod should not be moved, not that "the device and tripod completely still throughout the measurement process, as any movement may affect accuracy." Obviously the device is moving around it's mounting point as measurements are taken.

Hi Dana, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the inconsistent results you experienced with Point-to-Point measurements. For the best accuracy, the Point-to-Point function requires the device to be used with a tripod. Please check the following operating steps: * Set the measurement reference point to Tripod and mount the device securely on a stable tripod. * Keep the device and tripod completely still throughout the measurement process, as any movement may affect accuracy. * After completing the first measurement, wait about 1 second, then slowly rotate the device to take the second measurement. Please note that Point-to-Point measurements may show larger deviations when the device is operated by hand without a tripod. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the manuals and will share it with our team for improvement. If you still experience inaccurate readings after testing with a tripod, please feel free to contact us at [email protected], and we’ll be happy to assist further.
