I talked to this guy named Eric about my move. The thing that irritated me the most he stated the company is owned by veterans. He flat out lied and has not returned a single phone call or text message. This company is the middleman. They get their deposit via credit card and tell you some BS stating when the driver calls before pick up tell them you want to use a credit card for final payment. The day of the move they show up and give a different estimate. What do you do (stuck) and by the way it's cash only. Food for thought when these low life companies go through your inventory (over the phone) and give you an estimate it's BS. Know that estimate will change when the driver shows up. Note: the driver will be from another company. I would not recommend to company to anyone.

Was lied to initially and told the deposit comes out of the total price. Was also lied to and told we could pay with a credit card, but when the movers arrived, they demanded cash, which we were not prepared for. The movers also increased
the price bc THEY under estimated how much space we needed, although I gave a very detailed description of what was moving, every box and every piece of furniture were accounted for, and STILL had to throw things away to keep from being charged another $700. Was originally told “you’ll have your stuff within 2-14 days, but it never takes that long”, then after they picked up, a week later I called for an update and was told “it’s actually 14 BUSINESS days” which was not specified originally, so now the kids and I have been on the floor for a week and will still be for up to another 2 weeks. Would not recommend this company.

Horrible: Worst Service Received From a Vendor in My Entire Lifetime
Horrible, stressful, and deeply unprofessional experience. Stay far away.
I have moved several times in my life, and my experience with Mile Relocation was by far the worst and actually my only bad moving experience. We paid approximately $4,000 for an out-of-state move from Vermont to New Jersey, and the entire process was filled with unexpected demands for additional money, poor communication, disrespectful behavior, and an extreme amount of stress.
Before the move, I clearly explained to the salesperson that, because I had to be away for work, my 18-year-old son would be physically present for the move. I was the account holder and responsible for the move, and I made that clear again when the movers arrived. Despite this, there were multiple occasions when the movers bypassed me and spoke directly to my son, even after I repeatedly directed them to communicate with me.
Throughout the move, we were repeatedly pressured for additional money on the spot, both at the origin and destination. At the New Jersey delivery, the situation became particularly distressing. I was scrambling to obtain several hundred dollars through a wire transfer, while the mover followed me around impatiently, spoke angrily, and even laughed at me while I was trying to resolve the payment. I was already under enormous stress trying to get the money transferred, and the behavior was intimidating and completely unprofessional.
There was also constant nickel-and-diming for additional charges, making what was already an expensive move even more expensive. It felt less like a company focused on providing good service and more like an effort to find every possible opportunity to demand additional payment.
The movers also had difficulty operating the freight elevator at my new building, requiring building staff to repeatedly show them how to use it. Their demeanor became embarrassing enough that I was uncomfortable with how they were representing themselves - and me - in front of the concierge and building staff.
Then we discovered that they had apparently lost all of the legs to our couch. They had no idea where they were. Because we had numerous boxes to unpack, we ultimately spent approximately two weeks sitting on the floor before we located the couch legs ourselves.
There were other unacceptable issues as well, including expensive exercise mats being left behind at the original residence despite no apparent reason for them to have been left there. We also discovered that, before leaving, the mover had urinated on the toilet seat and floor at the new residence. That is simply unacceptable.
During the ordeal, I contacted Victoria, a manager, who initially sounded empathetic and said they would look into what could be done regarding the situation and possible compensation. My significant other also called during the move to help advocate for me because of how stressful the situation had become. I was told Victoria would follow up.
She never did.
I ultimately sent everything to her in writing, including the additional issues we discovered after the move. She never responded. When I called the number I had previously used to reach her, I was effectively ghosted.
After spending approximately $4,000, I expected professional communication, respectful treatment, accountability, and basic care for our belongings. Instead, this was an extremely stressful and embarrassing experience from beginning to end.
I have never experienced a moving company interaction like this. The constant demands for more money, being followed around while trying to obtain payment, being laughed at while visibly distressed, being bypassed as the responsible customer, damaged/left-behind belongings, the missing couch legs, the unacceptable condition in which the bathroom was left, and the complete lack of follow-up afterward were beyond disappointing.
I strongly recommend staying away from Mile Relocation. This was not simply an imperfect move - it was an unnecessarily stressful, expensive, and deeply unprofessional experience that I would never repeat.
All they do when customers complain is make excuses with no accountability so I am not even looking back at the BS they speak if they have the audacity to write back and defend this embarrassment. It is outrageous.

Be warned you’re dealing with thieves…
Be warned you’re dealing with thieves they give you a lowball estimate so they can get a deposit from you then they call you before your scheduled pick up and they raise the rate almost double my furniture was scheduled to be picked up on a Monday and we were leaving from Florida to move to California. They originally give me a lowball price of almost $4000 then when they called me back the night before it turned into $8000. I was on the phone with the guy for almost 3 hours measuring every item giving them accurate description for their bill of loading we negotiated down to almost $6000 so I had to make a second deposit with them to be able to keep our schedule for Monday morning pick up.Monday morning the guys come driving up in the big nice truck ,guy comes in walks through and looks at my stuff like he’s walking to a fire goes back out to his truck comes back in with a clipboard for a new price of $13,000. I told him there was absolutely no way that I was paying $13,000. I had just spent the night before on the phone for almost 3 hours measuring and going over every item that was to be on the truck not only that but my wife and I stretch wrapped and covered everything in cardboard. All they had to do was pick up and deliver. He comes back in with a clipboard after arguing back-and-forth and had a new price of $9000 we look outside ,the truck has furniture and boxes just falling out of the truck. It’s a joke. There’s no way they could’ve gotten our furnishings in their truck if they wanted to. The company refused to give me back the two deposits I had made which total $2100. I don’t know how they keep such a high rating on Google, but I can tell you from experience theyre thieves. I also noticed the guy that I talked to for almost 3 hours on the phone asked me if I wanted to store my furniture with them said I could do that for up to 30 days for free. I said no we need our furnishings to be delivered as soon as possible so he said OK. I’ll have a direct route so you’ll get your furniture right away after the whole thing was finished and we sent the guys away. I read the second contract that I had and it said the earliest delivery was gonna be August 27, which is almost a month after we were to arrive in California. I don’t know how I could warn you more than what I’m telling you right now stay away from this company, they sound great on the phone. The guys are super friendly, but it’s a scam.

So let's break down how Mile Relocation…
So let's break down how Mile Relocation not just rips off the customer but, they have ZERO accountability for delivering products in a timely fashion or at a reasonable price.
First, Mile Relocation is a broker for people/product moving. They don't have trucks, they don't have mover personnel, they are the middle men..
When a quote is requested, they substantially underbid competitors, compelling the unsuspecting prospect to move forward with the quote. The prospect thinks he/she got a great deal and is ready to get the move scheduled.
Once low bid contract is signed, Mile sales person sets up a call conducting an inventory review. Prospect is asked what is being moved without real details added... Customer is giving the details of what they believe they're moving and suddenly the price jumps. Reminds customer these are the real numbers and the price reflects a HUGE uplift. Customer goes crazy and threatens to sue Mile. Mile readjusts the quote to a minimum of 2X the original quote. Customer feels good about the concession but the price is 60% higher than original quote... Customer is defeated and agrees to pay.
LOCAL movers are contracted to pick up your goods and move them to a local storage facility. They are NOT moving to your house. Products are stored until Mile can find a cheap price and a company that they can schedule a time with (up to four weeks) in the future to ship furniture cross country. You will NOT know when the transport will happen until within hours of the actual mover being assigned the move. Bids are coming into Mile and they'll determine the mover and the timeline to move based on cost. Again note "2-4 weeks" unless you PAY the 1K expedite fee.
Once it's determined a cheap move is available, they contract those movers to pick up the movers goods and transport to final destination. The products moved could be touched by multiple companies and stored in multiple facilities.
End result, customer pays a minimum of X2 and Mile gets their money at an inflated price and at least three companies are involved with your move... Totally Fjcked Up
Don’t believe their response with the double talk jargon. Check out all their reviews. They are crooks that hide behind their keyboards once you sign their contact… they are grifters

Thank you for sharing your concerns.
Several statements in this review do not accurately describe how Mile Relocation operates.
Mile Relocation coordinates and books interstate transportation through FMCSA-authorized motor carriers with whom we maintain established working relationships. In most cases, the carrier is selected and scheduled in advance based on the route, requested dates, available capacity, and service requirements. We do not place moves on a public load board and wait for the lowest bidder.
This review does not include a customer name, job number, route, pickup date, delivery date, original estimate, revised estimate, or final charges. Without this information, we are currently unable to identify the move or verify the allegations being made.
Pricing is not automatically doubled after booking. An estimate may change when the actual inventory, number of pieces, packing requirements, access conditions, or requested services differ from the information originally provided. Any pricing concern should be reviewed using the signed estimates, inventory records, and service documents for the specific move.
Interstate delivery timelines depend on the customer’s first available delivery date, route, distance, carrier schedule, and the delivery window stated in the agreement. Expedited or guaranteed delivery is a separate service, but it is not required for a shipment to be transported.
We take customer concerns seriously and are prepared to review this matter based on the actual records. Please provide your Mile Relocation job number or contact our customer service department so we can identify the move and respond to the specific facts.

Awful!!!
Awful!!!! They delivered my things like it was trash. My furniture has scratches and damages from the transportation. The boxes that were clearly indicated that had fragile items are the more damaged ones. My dishes were left in the garage, upside down with a heavy box of books above it, I couldn’t open it yet because I can’t lift the heavy box without help, and I’m not sure what I will find inside the box. Could already open some boxes with broken itens. I spent more than two hours with them on the phone, measuring my furniture, and still the price on the day of the moving was double what they initially estimated. Now I’ll need to reach out for reimbursements, but I’m also not sure what I’ll find. Folks from the sales team simply ignore your messages after they sell the fake idea of a quality moving service. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Scam scam bait and switch
Worst company ever and such a scam. I live in Louisiana and my mother passed away. I called Miles Relocation to obtain pricing to move the hutch and china buffet from Ohio to New Orleans.
They took my deposit and subcontractor showed up and they called me from my mother’s house to tell me they wanted extra pay to wrap the hutch. They clearly knew from the recorded call what furniture I was moving. I was told from Tony that they would provide white glove service and wrap everything for protection. However when the movers showed up they told me that I had to pay 250.00 extra to move the hutch because it was glass and they were not communicated too correctly. Mind you I had already agree so 1600.00 move price. When I tried to tell the movers that I had clearly defined what was moving they told me it was not their problem and I needed to either pay the additional monies or they would cancel the contract and keep my 600.00. I was in a jam because my mom’s house had to be cleared that day so they held my furniture hostage until I paid.
To make matters worse Veronica in the office said oh well you signed a contract and there is a cancellation fee, I ask her to please listen to both the recorded calls and she said she did not have time to do that, horrible customer service and they could have cared less and did not even offer to make this right. After all who prices a hutch move and then charges extra because it has glass when they already had that information. They knew I was on a time crunch and did not have time to call anyone else and they took advantage of that.
Veronica was rude and would not even let me speak to anyone in management. The subcontractors was rude as well no Customer service skills at all. I plan to also reach out to BBB for my complaint.
I know it’s only 200.00 but it is principle for me and people should not be allowed to do business that treat their customers this way. Do not use this company!

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. Extremely dishonest. First thing they sell you a bill of goods they cannot deliver on. Even after speaking to 2 of their reps, they flat out lied about their services and what was on in terms of packing requirements. They say a 2 week delivery time unless you pay a 1000 dollar expedited fee for delivery within 3-4 days.
After an extensive 2 hour plus call with their "QA" rep over all items in the house and storage unit, along with pictures and video, they still significantly underestimated the space needed in the truck for the move.
We were initially quoted 10k for the move, and when the moving team finally showed up, several hours late, the price jumped up 2k.
They brought too small a truck and ended up discarding a few thousand dollars worth of our possessions when we left. Which we only found out about when our realtor sent us pictures for the junk hauler. They also did not have the space for our storage unit and refused to correct that error and wanted to charge an extra 2k to pick that up as well.
After many phone calls with Victoria, they refused to acknowledge their deception and mistakes. So we still have to find another mover for our storage unit.
Thru did refund us 1k because the delivery drivers were well over 24 hours late from our promised delivery window. And on the complaint I filed with the better business bureau they flat out lied about the conversations I had with the delivery driver. When our possessions friendly arrived they were haphazardly packed, which was another lie their sales person told us. Thankfully there was minimal damage.
There was morning positive about the experience with them. Hopefully the complaints I filled with the FTC and state attorney general put this garage company out of business.
And as you can see in their response the dishonesty continues. The driver called me and said he wasn't going to make it that day. Said he'd be there at 5 the next day as he was still a state away. Didn't end up showing up until 9pm the following day.
They had pictures and video of the additional items and STILL got their size estimate wrong. They're is nothing honest about this company. From Chase the salesperson, to Victoria their " customer service" Rep. They lie lie lie. And as you can see they gaslight, and manipulate words to try to cover their failings.
DO NOT trust this company. They will br hearing from the Carolina State attorney. The Florida State attorney and hopefully be getting shut down
P.s. there WERE NOT more items than discussed. Your QA person failed to get the counts correct. He was told 40 boxes, but the estimate only had 30. If you had any integrity you would have sent audio to me so I could point out every single thing your person neglected to put on there.
What you keep failing to acknowledge is the shelves that we were told by both Chase and the QA person that were on to be wrapped in plastic and all the items could stay on them. It was the additional 300cu ft of space that you LIED about.

Dear Timothy,
We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience and appreciate the opportunity to clarify several key points.
Your expedited delivery window was set between September 27–28. The driver confirmed he was ready to deliver on September 28th in the evening, which was within the agreed timeframe. However, you informed him that it was not convenient to receive the delivery that late, and requested that it be completed the following day. Even though delivery still occurred within the expedited window, the carrier deducted the $1,000 expedited fee with our direct involvement, as we always advocate for fair outcomes for our customers.
Regarding the Quality Assurance (QA) call, we carefully recorded every item you listed and confirmed the estimated volume at 1,550 cubic feet based on your provided list. Unfortunately, when the movers arrived, it became clear that the actual number of items and total volume were significantly higher than discussed.
The truck dispatched for your pickup was a 26-foot vehicle (1,850 cubic feet) — the largest available 26ft truck in the industry for residential moves and 300 cubic feet larger than your confirmed estimate. The truck was completely filled with your belongings, as documented in your signed Bill of Lading (BOL).
Interstate moving costs are based on actual volume and item count, as required by FMCSA regulations, and your final price reflected this.
We understand that moving can be stressful and regret that this experience caused frustration. However, all actions taken were consistent with federal standards, documented agreements, and the information provided throughout the process.
