Leather watch straps: As background information, the straps we provided cost us more than 4x the price we normally pay for leather straps and are very good quality premium Italian leather straps. The store owner has used a pair of the exact same red ones for over a year, including active outdoors wear in tropical climates and all kinds of weather and has not had an issue with the red dye coming off on the wrist or any discoloration, and neither have we had any reports of that from anyone else. It's very unfortunate when you used a leather softener that you had some discoloration but that is normal with some dyes and stains when using particular chemicals and you have to be careful what chemicals are used when working with colored leather straps. Clearing customs: We sent the watch to your Malaysian address via an express airmail service with free shipping, and it arrived in Malaysia within 3 days. No matter which courier service you use, if customs chooses to inspect or delay inspecting a package, there is not much the courier service can do until that's resolved and we've sometimes seen delays through other services too such as DHL, which you mention, for when that occurs. You also didn't need to collect the watch as we've paid for delivery to your door, but it's possible customs wanted you to pay an import duty first before releasing the watch to be shipped to you. (Normally in most countries you can pay online with a credit card once you receive a note from customs to make payment.) We do the best we can to ease the process and have very meticulously provided a full set of paperwork with the package for customs, including the customs declaration (including correct H.S. codes, descriptions, values, weights, etc.) and provided three copies of the commercial invoice, two attached externally, and one internally, as well as a safety declaration. This usually minimizes or removes delays at customs offices. At any rate, we're very sorry you were inconvenienced, and are glad that you now have your timepiece.
