Meta Mask facilitates scams STAY AWAY.
The way their system is designed is not user friendly, its quite easy to make a mistake in the learning process of using meta mask wallet which seems to facilitate a HUGE amount of scams, If you're going to get into Crypto Currency i would not recommend Meta Mask. As a simple request/connection from anyone and 1 click can give permission for your wallet balance to be taken? how is that a safe secure wallet? a simple miss click and everything's gone? its clearly a system built for this purpose. STAY AWAY.

Much like we can't control what someone does with their physical wallet, we can't prevent what MetaMask user may choose to do with their digital wallet. We are constantly evolving our tooling and internal procedures in such a way that we can prevent scammers, but still facilitate openSource development. Web3 was built to ensure access, we don't want to become its gatekeeper. (though we do have blocked sites lists, and work with external agencies and law enforcement to help get scams taken down at their source) In addition to our extant literature & support (Knowledge base, Community Forum, HelpDesk, Community Calls, etc) We also have several new projects aimed at user education specifically related to staying safe from scams. We have partnerships with companies across web2 and web3 trying to combat scams, and reduce the attack surface for everyone.
