I am trying to place an online order for pickup and I keep getting kicked out. When I try to go back in I'm told there are thousands of people ahead of me waiting to get on the website so I have to wait. I've tried 3 times to place my order and all three times I get kicked out. Now when I go in I have all 3 orders in my cart. I try to move the count of each item lower and I time out again and can't get my order submitted. I understand it's a busy time right after Thanksgiving but Meijer has had many months to anticipate this and get their systems ready for this. There is no excuse for this and after reading all the other reviews I'm a little afraid to even try the curbside pickup option. I'll be going someplace else, even though the stores around me don't have the food my dogs really like.

I've used Meijers curbside twice now and will NEVER use it again. The first time was earlier in the Covid-19 lockdown. I was supposed to pick up my order 5-6 pm and Meijers wasn't ready for me to pick it up until 11 am the next day. Today I showed up in my scheduled time slot, 2-3pm, only to be told they were still working on my order. There was and is nothing on the Meijers page where I placed my order stating they will text when my order is ready. So I went back home in full anticipation that it will be .... again.... tomorrow morning before my order is ready for pick up. At least THIS time I didn't pay $4.95 for the joy of a late order and a huge waste of my time.

I tried the grocery pickup. I went and they said that I didn't have an order. I went home and tried it again. I wasted my gas and time AGAIN for them to tell me a second time that they had no order. However, I was charged a small fee BOTH TIMES! I have NEVER had this problem with Walmart. When I call, I'm on hold FOREVER! I will never use their curbside again. What use is a coupon when you don't get your groceries?

I ordered my items on 11/13 I go to pickup my items on 11/15. They without any notification decide to change the prices on me when I go to pickup my order. Then the shopper picked up a spoiled ham salad and put it the cart. They decided to up charge me on another item. The on two items different items replaced them with items and never told me that they replaced them and one of the items they gave me I can't ever drink it because the it is a flavor that I don't even like. Then I call the store to try and get things corrected they tell me that I have to drive back the store which is 15 minutes there and back. I said you guys are the ones who made the mistake not me. Why should I have to waste my time. Then they state that I can call the 1-877 number for meijer.com to get refunds. I do that and they still tell me that they can't change the prices from when I originally ordered and state that this is company policy that they can't change the prices back from when I originally ordered. I said how do you explain the shopper picking up a clearly bad item and putting it in my cart. He didn't have an answer and said we will refund you. Then he stated on the up charge he stated well you decided to pick anything for replacement. I said yes but not something that is higher price or that is beyond sale price. Then they replaced the mio for something I don't even like and not even close to what I ordered. I don't like peaches nor would I ever choose peaches. He said well I will give you store credit. I said no, I said you need to refund me, initially he said that he would not do that since I still had the items. I promptly told him, I was not the one who made the mistake. The shoppers did, I shouldn't have to be the one to bear the responsibility. Then he said he would issue a refund. This whole entire process took me about 2 hours to get fixed and still felt really unhappy about it. The manager when I spoke to him seemed like he wanted to argue with me, then trying to make things right. Then, he didn't ask me if there was anything else he could do to make it right, he just hung up the phone. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience with pickup. I have shopped at Krogers, target, and Giant Eagle and have had way less hassles than I ever have at Meijer pickups. Giant Eagle immediately texts you and tells you they are out of and item and lets you choose on what you want to replace it when and they tell you the price right then and there, no surprises. I just don't get why Meijer can't get it right. I'm seriously considering never using Meijer pickup again and shopping less at Meijer. The bad thing is I have been a 20 year customer of Meijer and it just seems like service is getting worse and not better.

I shop at the Meijer on Westnedge in Kalamazoo. Twice a year I return bottle slips and use the cash to purchase supplies for the school system my son attends. However the last time I attempted to turn in my slips, I was told this was not possible because they had expired. I attempted to explain I had done this several times in the past and wondered why it was now an issue. I was told it was the store policy, however no one could show me where the policy was stated...it is not listed on the slips, or posted on signs or anywhere in writing that anyone could show me. When I questioned further, I was then told that the store has the right to refuse any refund, and how could I prove "that I hadn't just found all those slips on the floor. I would not have had an issue with this information if someone could have shown me where this policy was documented and/or changed, which they couldn't or wouldn't. More importantly, I was treated as if I was attempting to do something wrong and made to feel that my ask for reimbursement was somehow unethical. Shame on you Meijer. You have lost a customer over bottle slips, in addition to me sharing my story with everyone in my school system that will listen. I will never shop in your store again....I'm going down the street to Walmart.

MEIJER.COM DIGITAL SERVICES KYLIE AND SUPERVISOR KRISTIE PROVIDED TERRIBLE SERVICE AND THE SUPERVISOR HUNG UP ON ME. AS A LOYAL SHOPPER THIS INTERACTION MADE ME THINK ABOUT TAKING MY $600/MONTH BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. ALDI IS FABULOUS AND NEVER AN ISSUE.

I recently visited a local Meijer store to purchase a cake for Halloween. I like to buy white or yellow cakes because those flavors work for people who either can't have or don't enjoy chocolate. When I looked in the bakery department I was pleased to see they had several festive looking cakes on a Halloween display table. When I looked for a white or yellow cake I found a cake container labeled "White Cake," but when I looked closely at the cake, the edges of the cake could be seen through the frosting and the edges were quite dark. All the other cakes on the display were labeled chocolate or marble. So it was most likely a mis-labeled chocolate or marble cake that or it was burned. So I went to the bakery counter to look for another cake. Again there were numerous festively decorated cakes, but no signs in the display case to identify any of them. So I asked the person behind the counter in the bakery department what flavors the cakes are. She gave me a puzzled look and asked someone else there in the department if they knew what flavor the cakes are. The other gal rolled her eyes and said that she didn't know either! How can that be? I've never been to a bakery or bakery department before where the staff have no idea what kinds of cakes they are selling! Are they playing 'Trick or Treat' in the Bakery Department? So if you buy a cake by guessing and you find it's not the flavor you want you get tricked by your treat!

I dont even want to give them one star! They are the only store with lines halfway through the store. No reason except they are to cheap to hire people. Also you can call n call no one picks up the phone, and if you need help forget it THEY SUCK
