Otis was a disappointment
Otis was a disappointment. Not executed well at all. Their editor limits you to 90 characters for ad description so it’s difficult to craft meta ads. Be aware they have to have a human manually accept your pixel invite - and you have to email them to remind them to do so or it won’t happen at all. They can create longer ads for you but you have to email them to do it- making the website pointless as you have zero control over publishing your own ads. You can only see real time analytics if you have a more expensive subscription. We asked what their AI does- thinking it was optimizing ads and finding the best audience but really it just allocates your budget to your most successful ad platform. So basically useless if you only use one platform for ads, such as Facebook. We did not want to renew so we asked their ai chat box about the cancellation process. It said we could cancel and our ads would continue to run until any $ in our wallet was depleted so we did that. It was a flat out lie. The truth is that if you end your subscription renewal but still have pre paid ad budget in your “wallet” they will pause your ads automatically (even if the subscription has weeks left until it would have been billed again) further losing ad momentum as Facebook has to restart the learning phase- so wasting more money. When we tried to restart our ads manually to use up our remaining “budget” that we had pre-paid a pop up appeared asking us to resubscribe before ads could be unpaused. We had to file a chargeback with our bank because they are essentially holding our unused funds hostage. The whole thing felt like a scam. Their customer support and text line goes unanswered as well- though they respond decently via email on weekdays (I cancelled over a weekend) . There are much better ai ad platforms out there. I’d skip this one.

Hi Marie, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry that Otis didn’t meet your expectations. We understand the concerns you raised around campaign editing, character limits, pixel connection, reporting visibility, and cancellation and subscription controls. During your engagement, our team worked with you to resolve the longer ad copy and pixel connection issues, though we recognize that these steps created unnecessary friction in your experience. Since your review, the Otis platform has evolved significantly. We’ve made improvements to campaign editing and character limits, streamlined pixel and account connections, expanded reporting visibility, and improved cancellation and subscription controls to give customers greater clarity and control throughout the campaign lifecycle. We appreciate your feedback, as experiences like yours have helped inform improvements to both the platform and the customer experience. The Otis Team
