MedpreptReviews of medprept.com

Prept (medprept.com) is a specialized medical education marketplace designed to provide high-signal, near-peer mentorship across the entire medical journey—from the MCAT to residency and beyond. Unlike traditional "one-size-fits-all" test prep companies that bundle students into rigid, expensive packages, Prept connects learners directly with qualified mentors who have recently and successfully navigated the same path. By focusing on transparency, choice, and authentic human connection, Prept ensures that students receive the exact help they need without the unnecessary corporate overhead. The platform distinguishes itself through two primary service pillars: Tutoring and Advising. Tutors offer focused academic support for high-stakes exams like the MCAT and USMLE Step exams, while Advisors provide strategic mentorship for medical school applications, personal statements, and residency interviews. This separation allows students to find specialized experts for specific goals, ensuring that a "Step 1 expert" is actually teaching Step 1 material, rather than a generalist. What truly sets Prept apart is its "Teacher-First" philosophy. While major competitors often take up to 80% of what a student pays, Prept operates on a transparent model where teachers keep 85% of their earnings. This ethical approach attracts the highest caliber of mentors—including students and residents from top-tier institutions like Harvard, Mayo Clinic, and Johns Hopkins—and translates into more affordable, high-quality sessions for the learner. With real-time availability, clear pricing, and a marketplace built on merit rather than marketing, Prept is the modern solution for aspiring doctors seeking a clear, personalized, and efficient route to medical success.
