In two years with this "sharing" insurance, I find nothing Christian about its values or operations. We had to fight tooth and nail, appealing multiple times, simply to get basic coverage -- and we never did get reimbursed on several expenses. My partner actually has PTSD from having to call them so many times and go through to many appeals. And every time, they want to "pray" for you while not giving you the benefits you paid for. Never going back... I did not think there was something worse than state-backed health insurance companies, but this one is bad, bad news.

We've been with them since 2017. We are a younger family and they have been no help to us when we have needed it which has only been twice. Looking for other options.

I've been in medishare since 2016. Sadly, we are leaving because something has changed and can't quite put my finger on it. Not sure what has changed, but our "annual household portion is $5,500. We have paid $8,155 so far out of pocket this year of $21,678 in bills. Supposedly they secured all these "discounts" for the rest, but if I had just said I didn't have insurance I'd have been better off and would have saved $ for them and my family. Self-pay is almost always 50% of what most doctors/hospitals are charging. So $21,000 worth of bills could have been $10,500 and this actually might have worked...but the way it's set up and their aversion to "preventative" care makes this a bad fit for our family. Still owe $3400 in bills that they deemed "excessive" so be alert that you hold the bag on those. Total out of pocket this year will be over $11k. I could have easily self payed this year! And I payed $9k in sharing on top of that. So...$20k for healthcare in 2024...thanks to the broken healthcare of the US and Medishare's approach to the broken healthcare of the US.

Medishare is a total SCAM. I would give it zero stars. I have been paying into it for 8 years and the first claim I make has been a complete nightmare. I have paid more than $18,000 for 23 and 24 over and beyond my "annual share portion" (deductible). It has taken more than a year to process a single bill and in the meantime I have been sent to multiple collections that I have paid to keep my credit score from going to hell. DO NOT BUT INTO THIS SCAM!!!!!!!

Liars and cheats. Nothing is ever covered. Either you have no proof it wasn’t preexisting because you never saw a doctor for it, or you saw a doctor and it is therefore preexisting. Use CHM. They are legit. Medi-share is a scam.

Medishare online assistance and telephone service is terrible. They are constantly reminding you that your lucky if they cover/share with you. A total scam hiding behind Christianity. Disgraceful and shameless is the best I can do.

Telehealth is good, fast and decent benefit Main benefits for submitted bills seems like a huge scam. They turn down eligible expenses, they do a ‘survey’ based percentage used for your age and demographic etc Basically they find a way to not pay or count your expenses towards the annual minimum They hide the fact they survey the amount of money to a zip code for a problem . IE: colitis in dallas,Tx claim denied based on some be survey even though hospital bill was $20,000 Ultimately a total waste. I’m going to cancel after 3 years….cant trust on a big issue they would pay anything or count it. They cover or pay whatever they feel like Highly recommend finding another solution
