The Quality of your Provider May vary dramatically
I’ve used MDLIVE several times a year for the last 4 years with excellent experiences, but am basing this review on three appointments I had in the last two weeks. At the beginning of the first video appt., the provider had computer problems and I was cut off as she attempted to fix the situation. So I had to go back into the queue and waited just a short time for the second provider/physician to connect. He listened to my timeline of symptoms and then promptly veered offtrack, suggesting screening testing for issues which I do not have nor even have risk factors for. He never addressed the issues for which I was calling, although I attempted to get him focused back. His summary gave me two diagnoses (which he gave me no ideas for treatment for) and in the summary told me to “go to the ER immediately”. That’s all it said. Totally ridiculous with no relation to why I was calling. Very frustrating and totally unacceptable. After a week of suffering with increasing symptoms of the same condition I had originally called for, I requested a phone appointment. This third provider listened to me, asked good questions and quickly diagnosed me with one of the same diagnoses from the prior doctor, but sent a prescription in for me as should have been done the first time. In summary, setting up and connecting to a provider is fast and easy. BUT be forewarned that the quality of the provider you are assigned to may vary dramatically.
