Unfortunate experience thus far
Unfortunate experience thus far. I think, compared to everyone else on this review site, I've just had a very unfortunate experience with this company/service. Yes you can get connected quickly, yes you can get what you need quickly without needing to actually go anywhere...but my experience went like this: Called for a potential bacterial infection, got connected and received an antibiotic prescription (so far so good). Had to pay $45 to even speak to the doctor, but it is what it is i'll pay it. Come to find out, unbeknownst to me, i had either 1. an allergic reaction or 2. too high of a dose of medicine from what the doctor prescribed and had a severe reaction. The pharmacist told me to stop taking the drug immediately and to talk to my doctor. You cannot talk to the same doctor about anything without paying another $45 (strike 1), then come to find out later, my insurance actually has a $0 copayment for MDLive and after looking into this with MDLive they were very reluctant to give me a refund for the visit, even though they got the check from my insurance (strike 2). 45 days are to be allowed for the refund to process. When calling about the refund they refused to let me talk to anyone in accounting to figure out how the refund works (strike 3). They mentioned they would put a 'note' on my account, but that's as far as you're allowed to go. I think this business is very shady and has low-level customer service.
