Consider whether a consultation is worth your time
I'm sixty years old plus and have never written a review. mdlive.com disappointed. I called this 'business' during the covid crisis, hoping to keep a distance from others, as asked of us. I never got the 'doctor's name as he called on a barely useable line. I couldn't understand his 'English' if I could have heard him. I had prefaced the call with a request for a prescription refill that had run out months ago. He looked at the uploaded photo and said "it could be this..." I said that's what the RX treats. He changed his diagnosis..."It could be that..." I pressed him. He said he doesn't have experience to deal with it...go somewhere else. He told me I could wait until the pandemic is over to see someone who might know. I was polite; I'm always polite. A couple of questions...why did technology fail so badly that a landline (I'm one of the few that still has a landline) couldn't pick-up a signal? I prefaced the conversation with requests. If the 'doctor' didn't have experience with it, why did he call? Am I still 'on the hook' for the fee paid for not a lot of results? The insurance company said they would pay for the call, but we all know ultimately the consumer pays. Are companies like this required to represent their end results to the consumer, much like hospitals, where outcomes are 'graded' and 'rated' available to be assessed by the general public in order to make an informed decision? I know this 'doctor' probably made two hundred calls today. I understand the situation we are all in. I'm not reviewing the 'doctor' today, I'm reviewing mdlive.com.
