It only got one star because I had to!! The worst experience ever! Had two different so called providers all they are worried about is covid! I get it! I know from weekly testing my child does not have covid! Yet they proceed to tell me I need to be seen in person. This is a total JOKE!! I live in an area where wild fires are of abundance and you can't even see the sun but allergies do not exist! Come on!

Absolutely useless experience. First, their 30 minute estimate was off by about 1 1/2 hours. I got a couple calls telling me I was going to be helped as soon as possible and requiring me to press different numbers on my phone if I was still interested in waiting. Then, I apparently got a call that was missed (though I didn't receive a call as far as I can tell). One attempt was made then I suddenly got an email that was very hard to open (encrypted and required my jumping through hoops to finally get it opened) where they said they tried and failed to reach me at my designated time and to call them back to schedule another appointment. Seriously? The point is to make this easier to do remotely, not more difficult than it is to just go to the hospital.

At least most of those 5 stars reviews are fake. The team and company is good and professional but just like the other reviews the doctor was extremely unprofessional and did not want to help me what so ever. I have Covid 19 and I am having problems breathing he told me to breath harder from both my mouth and nose . He also advised me to go to see a doctor!!!!!! If I can drive I wouldn't need MDlive.

I was suffering from COVID and contacted MDLive hoping to get some medication for my breathing. I was very weak, had lost 16 lbs, did not sleep well because of shortness or breadth and coughing. I wanted something, steroids and inhalant seem to be the typical treatment.. The MDLive doctor, I feel, lacked compassion and only offered cough pearls of which I already had a prescription for. So basically it was waste of time and $55! I ended up going to the Walk-in Clinc and getting the Steroids and inhalant that quickly, greatly improved my breathing and strength!!

Sitting on hold for over an hour… no answer! Ugh

The doctors NEVER treat anything I have tried 3 times over the last couple years for easy sinus infection symptoms and ALWAYS have had to go to urgent care after because the "doctors" say it will go away on it's own. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY

I called them about a sty in my eye. Super simple to treat but the doctor gave me medicine for pink eye. By Monday (3 days later) my eye is much worse. I called to ask if they could send in a different prescription meant for a sty and I was told I would need to pay to see another doctor. I informed them that it was the wrong medication and I just needed her to send in the correct prescription but she said I need to pay. So frustrating that the doctor made me worse and I have to pay to fix it.

Last September when I started using MDlive (after it was advertised on BCBSNC's website) I really enjoyed the service. Very professional and helpful. Fast forward to this past May and everything went downhill fast. My provider (Martha Evans, MD) stopped contacting me to set up my regular appointments and I had no way of contacting her as the messages in your MDlive inbox have a very limited window of response time allowed. My prescription refill was denied by the provider and I had to call MDlive to get a refill as I really needed the medication. They had someone call me back quite quickly (Eiad Sabia, MD) but this guy had an attitude and knew nothing about how MDlive worked or was supposed to work. He acted irritated that I was upset that my prescription was about to run out. When I called MDlive back to try and get another appointment I was told my former provider was booked out several months and I would have to start from scratch again on their website. So basically they have left me to either wean myself off my medication or stop it cold turkey. In a nutshell with this company you are on your own. The concept seems great but the actual workings of their system need a lot of refinement. I would not recommend them to anyone who is looking for any type of treatment that can't be handled in one visit. Update: I was just reading more reviews and noticed that someone mentioned Dr. Eiad Sabia. He was the Dr. that MDLive had call me when I coudn't get my prescription filled. I feel the same. He was very condescending and several times told me to "calm down". He obviously does not know MDLIVE procedure as he questioned everything I told him and could not understand my answers. The entire operation seems quite sketchy to me. And boo on BCBS for partnering with them and suggesting them as an option. Good luck with your search.
