Dr was not able to provide any true assistance. Referred me to urgent care. Stated that because a rash on body he could not truly see it via camera. I chose rash as the medical symptom. I called to request my co-pay be refunded to me. Person I spoke with stated she would submit my request to next level but she didn’t see why I wouldn’t receive it. Received a voice mail message the next day denying it because he provided a medical session. Ridiculous service.

Terrible company

I had a thought infection i told lady she told me no it wasn't that i had a cold she say to take over counter medicine.i told her no i know what i have it a thought infection because it hart to swallow.

I was pointed toward MDLive by my insurance company when my son popped up with a swollen eye while we were on vacation. We were in the middle of nowhere and there were no after-hours clinics open within two hours. First, it took more than an hour to get an account set up on the phone with an agent who kept asking the same question over and over again. When we finally had the appointment scheduled, it took another 30 minutes of logging into the site/app to even get a live person. The pediatrician on the line was a woman who clearly wasn't interested in helping. I explained what was going on while her children screamed loudly in the background. I'd like to point out that I work from home and understand that kids can't be controlled all the time, but, as a professional, she should have a plan in place when she is trying to provide medical care remotely. She never once asked to see my son's eye, despite the fact that we were video calling, and decided it was an allergy. He is on an allergy medicine and his reaction was not an allergic one (his eyes do get swollen but it looks different and doesn't hurt, this time he said it felt like sandpaper). I wanted to her look at it and pointed the phone toward him. I don't think she bothered because all she did was say she was going to call in a prescription for steroids and to give him allergy medicine, which I had already told her he was on due to grass and dog allergies. I was concerned that it was an infection of some sort and was looking for guidance on what to look for...I never got it and was rushed off the line after less than three minutes. I don't recommend this service and next time we have an issue and are away from home, I'll just take him to the ER. They also charged me twice for the appointment.

I called due to my son having ear pain. Which he had been complaining about off and on for several week. They denied coverage to my son, Haydan, due to him being under the age of 13, hadn't recently gone swimming, etc. So, not only did I have to pay $42.00 for your company, which per CIGNA it should not have to front the money to be credited back later. I also had to take him to the doctor Saturday, where was then diagnosed with an ear infection.

While the doctor called me back quickly, I did not feel that he was listening to me regarding my symptoms and basically offered little assistance other than to get sleep and stay out of air conditioning in California. My problem was a sinus infection (fever, cough, discolored mucus, sore throat.,hoarse throat). He called in a non narcotic cough syrup - which I can purchase at any local drugstore. Very disappointing for my first experience with this service.

The first call from the Doctor asked if I was in Alabama and I said, “No, Arizona” and he said that he did not have privileges. I was charged. Then, I received a call from another Doctor who did not help and that I could barely understand his English? I didn’t want to be rude and was so frustrated by then, I gave up. I was also charged in addition to the first call. I would not have even given MDLIVE 1 star if I had a choice. From now on, Doctor on Demand will be the direction I go if needed in the future.
