I felt that my son needed antibiotics…
I felt that my son needed antibiotics for his sinus infection since that is what the doctors usually give him when he finally goes for a clinic visit after being sick for a while. He gets this sinus infection periodically, especially if he has been exposed to pollutants and fails to neti pot afterwards. His nose gets stuffed up, he can't breathe and he just feels yucky. I told the telephone doc that I felt that he needed an antibiotic but she insisted that he needed prescription Sudafed instead to just open up his sinuses so that he could feel better. The theory sounded good and we trusted her judgment. However it seemed like it took him a lot longer to get to feeling better after taking the Sudafed than when he takes antibiotics.

Hi Audra. We apologize for the extended bout of illness and that you were not satisfied with MDLIVE. There are many factors that go into deciding whether antibiotics are needed, and we as a country are dealing with increased antibiotic difference which has lead many doctors to be increasingly cautious. But we do apologize for your experience. If you would like to follow up with your concerns and escalate with customer service, please email [email protected]. We hope your son is feeling better!
