This service is dangerous.
1/19 I called in with a severe sore throat with swelling in my neck and white spots on my tonsils. The doctor said that a memo had just come out saying that there’s a viral throat infection going around so she didn’t even consider the fact that this may require antibiotics. I emailed back the next day and explained that I was feeling much worse. I’ve had a fever on and off for 24hrs and my mouth and throat are so swollen that you can see the lumps on my throat from the outside. Still refused an antibiotic and told me to rinse with salt water. I don’t know why doctors treat antibiotics like a controlled substance. But I guess that’s what you get with an online doctor who has no history with the patients they are seeing. Waste of time and money unfortunately. 1/20 UPDATE : down to one star as I just ended up in the urgent care with such severe strep throat that I was vomiting. Honestly don’t trust MD live. This could have gotten very dangerous had I taken the advice to “let the virus run it’s course” that I received from this service. This doctor also encouraged me to spend time with my baby niece and nephew this weekend since what I have is not contagious. It could have been so bad if I had taken her advice. Strep is very dangerous for infants.
