Cheating their Customers out of what they rightfully deserve
I want to share my recent experience with McAlister’s Deli’s rewards program, which has been pretty disappointing. I had accumulated almost 2,000 points over time, mostly because I only visit occasionally when I’m really craving their chicken tortilla soup. When I finally checked the app to redeem my points, I found out they’d all been wiped out because I hadn’t used them in the past year. In today’s economy, with food prices rising, a lot of people save their reward points for times when money gets tight—like during the holidays when they’re juggling bills, gifts, and gas. Unlike other places that let you hold on to your points, McAlister’s just erases them if you don’t visit often enough, which really defeats the purpose of a loyalty program for occasional customers. Overall, it’s been a negative experience, and I think other customers should know that McAlister’s points won’t be there when you need them most. I can’t recommend their rewards program under these conditions.
