The item tracking shows that it was delivered to your address, and a Yodel representative has confirmed this as well. In such cases, only you could have applied for an insurance claim, which could have compensated you up to £90. We responded to you professionally and consistently, outlining your options to file a complaint, but instead, you chose to focus your energy on posting negative feedback online. Had you followed our advice, you could have even profited from the situation. We serve over 250 customers each day, and in the rare instances—three times so far—when a customer claimed they did not receive an item despite tracking showing delivery, they simply signed a sworn affidavit, and since the amount was small, they were compensated within 48 hours. Unfortunately, you were too insistent on demanding a refund from us, resorting to name-calling and rude behavior (which, to be clear, was on your part, not ours), and threatening to "give bad feedback all over social media." As we mentioned in our email correspondence, the damage to the protective case occurred weeks after your purchase and appears to be the result of a significant impact on a hard surface like tarmac or concrete. The primary function of the case is to protect your iPhone, and in this instance, it did its job. As you know, Apple wouldn’t replace items damaged from a fall either. It’s certainly more cost-effective to have a slightly cracked $35 case than to face the expense of repairing a screen or back glass on a $1,000 iPhone. Additionally, our products are sourced from a warehouse where they undergo a thorough inspection to ensure authenticity. The presence of the MagSafe chip and the animation that appears when the case is installed further confirms this. Moreover, our supplier is an authorized Apple distributor. This is an edited response after we’ve been contacted by buyer Nick Tamadonnejad, saying: “ Hi, My case is damaged and I’ve contacted you guys several times so that you guys can give me a refund and I provided you guys with the picture and can you please give me a refund.” Our reply was: Dear Nick, You purchased a protective phone case six months ago. As with any product, the wear and tear of a phone case can vary greatly depending on usage. Some people might need a new case within weeks, while others maintain their cases in like-new condition for years. Similarly, some phones might show heavy signs of use over time, while others remain pristine. To put this in perspective, it would be unreasonable to expect Nike to replace a pair of shoes after walking 5,000 miles in all kinds of weather because they’re scuffed. This is why Apple and other companies don’t replace protective cases unless a defect is evident shortly after purchase. If you feel we deserve a negative review because we are unable to replace a case that has been used for half a year, we respect your decision. However, it’s important to recognize that there are limits to what any company can reasonably do to support its customers while maintaining a sustainable business. If companies were to replace items based on extended use, it would open the door for widespread abuse, where customers could demand new products whenever they wanted, backed by the threat of negative feedback. This approach wouldn’t be accepted on platforms like Amazon, Etsy, or eBay, where such reviews are often removed.
