This company is extremely disappointing. They have rejected most of the upgrades I requested, and their response is always, “It’s too late to make changes,” even though we are still four months away from the closing date. Their lack of flexibility and unwillingness to accommodate reasonable requests reflect very poorly on their customer service.

Future buyers should be extremely cautious before purchasing from Mattamy Homes I purchased a condo from Mattamy in 2025 and like many other owners I already tried to sale it due to dissatisfaction as many other owners. Worst home builder ever. Their post-sales warranty support is completely useless. Instead of actually fixing structural issues, Mattamy's strategy is to stall, deflect, and exhaust the homeowner. Very disappointing service and a complete waste of time. I have been waiting for a year and a half for two issues to be resolved: repainting my entrance door and fixing my balcony sliding door. Unfortunately, neither issue has been resolved. For the entrance door alone, Mattamy has sent a “technician” five times just to take pictures and prepare reports. Despite all these visits, the actual work has never been completed. Repainting a door is a straightforward job that should take no more than an hour, yet after a year and a half, I am still waiting. The same situation applies to my balcony sliding door. “Technician” after “technician”has come to inspect the problem, take pictures, and submit reports, but the issue remains unresolved. Every visit requires me to arrange my schedule and take time off work to be home. It is extremely frustrating to keep making myself available for appointments when nothing is actually being fixed. After a year and a half, I expect action, not another inspection or another report. This experience demonstrates a serious lack of follow-through, accountability, and respect for residents’ time. I am extremely disappointed with Mattamy’s service. Sending “technicians” repeatedly without completing the necessary repairs is not a solution. I hope the company takes these complaints seriously and focuses on getting the actual work done rather than continuing to waste residents’ time. Worst home builder ever. Since we moved in to this new constructed house last January 2026, there were lots of bad experienced from water leaking from the kitchen ceiling due to no inspection made by the construction team and no repairs made even after the PDI were made. They just asked us to moved in without doing anything. Now we are still fighting for our wood floors they put in our entire house. Lots of green marks they are claiming as part of the wood. As owner who spent $1.2M+ we can not accept that our wood floors are just like this. We made investigation from 2 houses who has the same materials but theirs are completely okay compared to ours. They put ALL the green marks in our home and now we are still fighting for this. Reported to Tarion but it seems that Tarion just depends on the report by the builder and Manufacturer. They did not even investigate from other sources.

I put my life savings into purchasing a Mattamy home, expecting a well-built place for my family. I am disappointed with the quality and workmanship. For such a major financial commitment, the lack of care and attention to detail is unacceptable.

Mattamy Homes does not care about their customers. They promise quality and care, then deliver the opposite. This company only cares about profits and the owner is a greedy billionaire. Please be careful when buying from this company.

One star. Future buyers should be extremely cautious before purchasing from Mattamy Homes. Before closing, I questioned discrepancies in my pool addendum. I received no substantive response, and a Mattamy representative later told me the heater was present and the pool was heated. It was not. Since closing, I have dealt with missing contracted pool features, drainage failures, repeated flooding across my pool deck and covered lanai, damage to my fence and landscaping, moisture concerns, and outstanding warranty work. Corrective drainage work was attempted, but the flooding returned. I have documentation, photos, and videos supporting my experience. I sent Mattamy two written demands, including one through my attorney. As of today, no authorized member of leadership has contacted me directly or provided a complete corrective plan and timeline. Instead, I have received incomplete responses and inconsistent, contradictory information while responsibility continues to be redirected to subcontractors. Based on my experience, Mattamy’s construction oversight, quality control, subcontractor management, and warranty follow through have been unacceptable. I am also aware of other residents in my neighborhood raising concerns about defects and struggling to obtain resolution. My situation does not appear to be isolated. I would not purchase another Mattamy home and cannot recommend them. The only genuinely positive part of this experience has been our neighbors. My advice to future buyers: speak directly with homeowners in the community before purchasing and ask about their experiences. Be present during construction whenever possible, hire independent inspectors, document every promise, and do not assume outstanding issues will be resolved after closing. If serious documented problems are repeatedly ignored, be prepared to involve an attorney. In my case, even sending two written demands, including one through counsel, has still not resulted in direct contact from an authorized decision maker.

I would strongly recommend staying away from this company. The homes seem to be built very quickly, and when problems arise, getting the builder to address or correct their mistakes is extremely difficult. In my case, they repaired a plumbing issue, but the repair left me with sinking concrete that has still not been properly resolved. After only three years, four of my neighbors' townhomes are already up for sale. I will likely be joining them soon. Based on my experience, I would not purchase a home from this builder again.

I would never recommend this business. Laura the office manager is one of the rudest people I have ever met. If she is the face of your organization you must lose a lot of business.
