I ordered a bookcase from this website. It took over 24 hours to receive any confirmation email. Once i received it, I saw that the order was not for the item I purchased but was instead for some kind of console table. I contacted customer service to address the issue and they acknowledged on their end that there was some kind of error and that they couldn't confirm which item it was. The representative needed to contact the manager of the sales division to verify what exactly was the item in my order. I opted just to cancel it instead as I no longer had confidence in this company. The representative could not cancel my order upon request but instead informed me that they had to reach out to the vendor to cancel the item and once they received confirmation from them then I could receive a refund. They informed me they would call me back when the cancellation has been verified. Most legitimate businesses do not operate this way. When you order a specific item you should have the confidence that it's the one that was shown on the website. And if you need to make a cancellation, especially due to an error on the company's behalf, you should not have to be left in limbo, waiting on if the cancellation will happen and if you will be able to get your money back. The item had not even shipped yet. According to the tracking, it was still awaiting to be picked up to be prepared for delivery. Save yourself the headache and just stay clear of this company.

I’m sad that I have to post this considering this is my second home that I furnished with Mathis. Sadly, it is now over six months since I’ve ordered my bedroom set and it is still not correct. Two of the three pieces that they delivered were defective or damaged. And Mathis agrees! They said they would replace them and that while I’m waiting for the new pieces to come in, to use the damaged ones. And they tried… Approximately five months later, the new furniture came in. It was damaged and scratched, but worst of all, it was the wrong color! They have said they will try again, but now do not even respond to my phone calls or emails. Sadly, I had to dispute the financing that was used to purchase the over $12,000 bedroom set. Most likely this will end up in litigation as I intend to sue them. I strongly suggest you shop elsewhere… You can probably do better and not have to deal with all these headaches.
