The market power options strategy certainly is an intriguing strategy that has a lot of potential. I joined the group in December, 2023 and successfully paper traded five straight signals without a loss. Since using real money in January, I have traded three signals, and have lost on two of them. My account allocated towards this strategy, is down roughly 40%. It is my intention to stick with MP this year, and will fully evaluate it at the end of the year. While the probability of success is quite high, it is extremely important that one manages their risk and only allocates a small portion of their portfolio that they are comfortable in losing 50+ percent in any given trade. No one should be using money that they need to pay the rent, mortgage, or put bread and butter on the table. The OptionGenius team does a great job in educating an individual about the strategy and the risks associated with the strategy. It is essential that an individual watch all the videos and paper trade for a period of time before taking on real risk. I would offer the suggestions to improve the strategy: 1) trades placed by Allen/Matt or any other member of the optionGenius team, should be displayed and tracked in a members forum like all other trades in other OptionGenius services. This is really important for providing full disclosure to current and prospective members. It’s nice to show off the wins but you also need to document the losses and have an aggregate total return for the year. 2) I have a sense after a couple of large back to back losses, some members may be getting concerned about the strategy. To address members concerns and recap the trades for the month, a monthly zoom meeting should be held by Alan or Matt and have these recordings available for replay in the members group forum.

I am updating my review (and reducing the rating from 5 to 3) in March 2025, after more than a year. Allen and the team have a cool methodology to invest and try to have an edge in the market. The community is great and there are some great resources (mostly videos) to explain the methodology and get you started, and the community is great and highly supportive. Treat this as an educational opportunity or just blindly follow the methodology and you may make some money. Of course, there is risk, and understanding (and accepting) that risk is part of the process. For me, it started great, until it didn’t. Not only there’s the risk of taking large losses, as you are selling options, and an adjustment is basically going double or nothing, I realized that it was distracting and stressful to keep up doing it, especially when the market goes against you in consecutive days. I was ok with the risk, but I can’t be getting distracted from my job and I don’t want to lose sleep over my investments, so after a year, I wrote down my loss (I did lose money) and went elsewhere. It does work for some. Some people seem to be more disciplined (or lucky) and were very happy with the results. I do feel that the methodology may work, but it’s not worth it for me.
