I like it, but be a bit cautious as with every site
Just be weary not everything on it is safe. I installed "Unlocker" from MajorGeeks and Windows security said "Potentially unwanted app found". It detected "PUA:Win32/BabylonToolbar" which is an ad bundler, not serious but annoying, PUP. I have downloaded something else from it too, and that one was safe. So it depends on WHAT you are installing from it> Before you install i reccomend copying the url and uploading it to VirusTotal. This will tell you if its safe or malicious. MajorGeeks is still a great site, but as on any site, be cautious.

Hey there, I just saw this. Couple of points I wanted to make. First, yes, I don't care where you download from, Major Geeks or anywhere else. We test everything before posting, but we are human. Caution is always a good idea. 2nd, A PUP, or Potentially Unwanted Program, is not the same thing as a virus. It usually means your antivirus or anti-malware program thinks the software may include optional offers, bundles, ad-supported components, or behavior it does not like. We have written extensively about this over the years. In many cases, a PUP detection is more of an opinion from your security software than an actual malware detection. Frankly, a lot of PUP detections are overly broad, misleading, or complete nonsense. That does not mean you should ignore every warning, but it also does not automatically mean the file is dangerous. 3rd The Baylon piece is correct. It is advertising software and we clearly state so on the file review that the product is ad supported. Hope that clears some things. I think you very must for taking the time to write this and weigh in with your opinion. It helps a lot. We will look into how to make these things clearer.
