MagooshReviews of magoosh.com

Magoosh was easy to use, affordable and very effective in preparing for the GRE General Exam. Magoosh consists of a series of video lessons for verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and analytical writing. There are also hundreds of practice questions for verbal and quant with detailed answers in case you get them wrong. They both assisted greatly in giving me the knowledge base for answering GRE questions. The practice questions also prepared me for what the test questions actually look like. I highly recommend Magoosh for anyone preparing for the GRE.

Great videos. Great questions. Helped a lot.

I struggled with studying for the GRE at first and decided to invest in the Magoosh Premium Prep subscription. It was well worth my money. I attended a Princeton in person prep class before, but I still struggled with the math core concepts. The Magoosh study plan (I got the 90 day study plan) provided me with a better structure and resources than the in person prep class. I was hesitant to use online prep because I struggle keeping myself accountable to a daily study routine. With the study plans magoosh has available it is so simple to adapt to a routine. Additionally, whenever I struggled with a question or concept there were always tutorial videos available that explained everything in a detailed manner. The support team also responded very quickly when I had a question that wasn't already listed in their forums/videos.

Helped me out with GRE studying! Beforehand I had no clue what to study and how to study but Magoosh's videos are so perfect - exactly like the test! And they're also very good at getting back to you if you have any questions/problems. I highly recommend using them for your studying!

Besides being a test that assesses your problem solving skills via quant and your analytical writing ability via AWA, the GRE also assesses your stamina, endurance, time management and your ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time. It is here that Magoosh outshines everyone else. The session tests, simulating the real test, help to build stamina and pacing, a feature absent to those preparing via books. These session tests are also adaptive to your skill level. The Magoosh blog is a gem. The Student Support is extremely helpful and their quick responses to my queries always exceeded my expectations. Magoosh has a account pause function. The Magoosh materials are designed in such a way that you are going to learn by failing, whereas I approached learning by building up my skill incrementally. It was only later that I realized that Magoosh's method is far superior, both by itself, but also because this method closely resembles the GRE.

I really enjoyed this program, particularly their videos, which explained in detail and very clearly how to solve the questions that will come up on the GRE. As someone who is not math-inclined, I loved that the math videos weren't explained in convoluted language but rather focused on overall concepts and general math strategies that helped me to think in an entirely new way and feel like the math problems weren't impossible to solve.

The absolute best service you can get to prep for your GRE.

I thoroughly enjoyed my GRE prep and got a good score (336), and this was completely thanks to Magoosh. I had two months to prepare and was very rusty, especially on quant. So I did the one month plan and then revised the entire thing during the second month to firm up my concepts. The most crucial thing is not to just do loads of hard quant questions or plough through a lot of essays, but to figure out what the test is actually asking on each question - the "thinking" behind the scenes. Once you can crack that, most of your work is done. Magoosh does exactly this, it mentors you to think like the GRE testers. Their question bank is very close to the real thing. They simulate the test environment in the practice sessions & mock tests very well. The video lessons are spot on, to the point and are extremely useful. I would definitely recommend Magoosh, especially for those who have less than 3 months' prep time. Magoosh focusses on the important stuff and helps improve your performance very quickly.
