This “University” is weird.. Last year I got accepted and signed paperwork to begin, I submitted my FAFSA and had everything ready to go. I was super excited until I got my laptop.. (which was a brand new MacBook, really nice actually). I started the class but after completing one module I was told I had more paperwork to sign. I had already been feeling a little uncomfortable for some reason but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I was confused as to why I had MORE paperwork to sign when I was under the impression that I was already enrolled and starting classes.. Once I read the paperwork (which was extremely confusing, I had Chat GPT translate), I realized something was really wrong. The contract stated they wanted me to sign and said something about me having a free ride but there could be future costs up to 20k and I had to agree to pay those costs if my scholarship fell through, which made no sense because I was told I had successfully received the scholarship. I refused to sign the paperwork and ghosted them. They kept harassing me about signing the paperwork even after I asked them to clarify why I was required to sign more paperwork after I was already enrolled, and they ignored my request asking for their credentials, ect. I kept the laptop and they emailed me threatening that if I didn’t return it they would not return my Pell grant. I checked my FAFSA portal and noticed the Pell Grant was still there and unused and I knew that they could not legally take it and noticed they failed to do so. I ended up blocking them from contacting me. Honestly it was such a weird and bizzare experience.. But at least I got a free laptop out of it.

This was the worst experience, BEYOND what I could have possibly imagined. The lack of accountability of this institution is atrocious. Due to their negligence and incompetence as a professional postsecondary college, I went weeks without lights, had to beg for food, lack basic necessities, because I decided to go to school full time and after balancing my budget and even leaving room for error, BEING WITHOUT ANY FINANCIAL AID FOR TWO MONTHS PAST THEIR CLAIMED DATE OF DISBURSEMENT COMPLETELY DUE TO THEIR LIES AND THE ALREADY PREVIOUSLY STATED INHUMANE ATTITUDE TOWARDS OUR WELL BEING AS THEIR STUDENTS. Had us enroll KNOWINGLY while their accreditation was already on PROBATIONARY STATUS. THEY EVEN DOCTORED MORE THAN JUST MINE, but others confirmed, AWARD LETTERS, to suit THEIR needs. Yup, had us sign our Term 2 Award Letters then presented them to us after changing the information on them, and whilst we were in depravity, coercively forced us to accept their predatory and cruel treatment. They deserve prison time if you ask me and the NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL ATTORNEY SHOULD PURSUE THEM UNDER THE FAIR CONSUMER ACT FOR ALL THESE REASONS AND MORE. Screw their sovereign immunity, they are the most horrible scum that I’ve ever encountered.

I am an honor student with straight A’s and a flawless 4.0 GPA, yet this administration has slow-walked my Term 3 living expense refund since August 3rd.The school is currently under Heightened Cash Monitoring 2 (HCM2) federal audit status, and instead of following federal mandates—which require the school to pay out credit balances using institutional cash reserves first—they are using bad-faith administrative tricks to hold student cash. They trapped my folder under a "SAP Verification" hold for a month despite my perfect grades, intentionally stalling my disbursement to protect their own corporate vault.Their internal compliance deadline expired on August 17th under the Federal 14-Day Rule (34 CFR § 668.164(e)), and they have been operating in direct violation of federal law ever since. To make matters worse, rather than resolving the crisis, the administration ghosted my communications and unilaterally blocked my cell phone number from the campus network, routing my calls to an automated error message.They have already admitted in writing on my portal that my file is "100% complete, approved, and fundable," yet they continue to withhold my money, putting me under immediate threat of vehicle repossession and housing eviction. I have officially submitted a formal statutory demand to the treasury desk and will be escalating my entire folder, including screenshots of their phone blocks, directly to the U.S. Department of Education Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the FSA Ombudsman Group for federal financial aid fraud. Avoid this school at all costs.

My experience with Maestro College was deeply frustrating and completely unexpected. When I enrolled in the AI Software Engineering program, a MacBook laptop was included as part of my scholarship, supposed to ship by the second week of the first term. I never received it, as the school continually shifted the shipping requirements month after month. Academic support was nonexistent. When I had issues or questions, my inquiries were ignored for weeks, forcing me to resubmit requests just to get basic communication. The most concerning issue, however, was the academic structure. The coursework is taught by AI, but tests are graded by a human professor. After taking extensive notes and successfully passing every review, I hit a wall during my second term. For 6 consecutive days, I repeatedly failed a review because the requirements for the assignment kept mysteriously changing. It became clear that the professor was deliberately altering the passing requirements to prevent me from succeeding. To top it all off, my financial aid disbursements were withheld and never released. This ongoing administrative negligence and lack of professionalism have now created a false federal overlap, delaying my funding at my current institution. Prospective students should exercise extreme caution.

Similar experience to others. Enrolled. Scholarship revoked due to inactivity the day BEFORE the classes started. Busted my bum for three weeks learning, and then scholarship revoked again. Three weeks totally down the drain. Now they have been issued a Show Cause order because there are doubts about their accreditation. Best to avoid these guys at all costs. I wasted three weeks. Imagine if you waste four years and gain nothing.

Fraud and scam artists. An Israeli company bought a failing school and transformed it into a 'new school' offering free laptops and free degrees for anyone! It sounds great and many of us enrolled. The only way they accept you is if you promise to use your entire FAFSA here, and they inflate the tuition to about 30k/year to make sure it's maxxed out. Then they cover everything with their fake made up scholarship. Well, we found out later that their fake made up scholarship really comes from all of our pell grants, and it subsidized people who didn't get a pell grant. There was an extensive interview done about this too. The hide details and there is no way to reach a human. There are no human led instructors. I have never seen them, and in interviews former teachers said they can't even see the names of their students and have no way to contact them. They only see the work we provide. The AI overrides the instructor's grades too and any communications are AI generated. They preyed on the most vulnerable low-income populations to get our pell grants. Now the school has lost it's accredidation but they have not closed yet so I cannot apply for the pell grant discharge and get my pell grant eligibiliity yet. You should see what they did to the people of Germany and Peloton college. When I asked for real human help with my courses, they refused to give it to me.

Been kicked out twice. First was the day before classes started because "I haven't logged in for 3 days to do my classwork" ummm, class hasn't started yet... Then get an email the next day AFTER class has started saying "it's a glitch and disregard the first email" but I try to log in and my info didn't work. It said I wasn't a student. After another day of this... I had a whole day to finish a long lesson. I ended up finishing the entire module 3wks early, took my final exam for the module and passed... Every few days I would log in and did practice work until it was time for the next module... I get an email today saying I've been kicked out for inactivity ... I try and talk to one of those service bot things... There's no ticket to reverse anything and they told me to re enroll and there's a wait-list because enrollment has been temporarily paused.... They said they can't guarantee me another spot... I wouldn't recommend this school. It's a waste of time and energy

They have poor communication and poor customer service they take forever to release your federal student aid if u request it and they do it on their own time each term it's never the same time frame or length of time there is no student portal to follow your federal student loans and it's disbursement. Out side of that the learning platform is easy to use and classes are great. But they definitely need to get better communication and better ways for students to get in contact with people as well as keeping track of the financial aid process if u get loans for living expenses
