I wanted to express my disappointment. The company offers an online quote for car scratch repair. I sent them photos of the scratched part, the colour code, and the model of my car. However, it was all a waste of time as they did not provide an estimate, even approximately. Instead, they continually insisted that I visit their site. I'm disappointed with the false advertising. I thought that as an experienced company, you would have worked on numerous cars and thus, could provide a rough price range. Thank you.

In 2018 I bought a used 2008 Nissan Altima. The front bumper was cracked and after a year, rust started showing up in the rear wheel wells. I had Maaco in Grand Rapids, Michigan do the job for $1200. This included the replacement of the front bumper. The paint job was beautiful and lasted three years. Then the rust started showing up again. One of the things I was supposed to have paid for was the sealing of the wheel wells to prevent any further moisture from entering the wheel wells. Also a rust spot showed up on the lower corner of the passenger door. I was quoted $900 to do the job over, and this was not covered by their warranty even though I thought I had paid to prevent this from happening. I was happy with the replacement of the front bumper but not for the rust prevention I was expecting.

My request was to have my paint job to its original color. I was told no problem. When I got my car it was a totally different color and I was not told the letters on my vehicle needed to be replaced. They did not let the paint dry enough when put on the letters that was not replaceable. I ordered them to replace their screw up. When I being to remove the letters this is where I found bubbles in the paint job and the side fender. The letters that were put on my car were in the wrong place. I went to Maaco Pearl City Honolulu for a quote and got quote of $3,559.00 made an appointment for following day. Took car in and told Tyler I had an appointment and had a quote for 2,559.00 he said the quote is no good but he would give me a good deal he was going to discount each door, was supposed to be $150 per door. A sign behind his desk said 100.00 per door then quoted me $2,998.38, I figured ok just to get it done. 2weeks later went to pick up car and there was overspray on every window and where overspray was on black plastic panels they used green scrubber and acetone. Destroyed the panels. Also broke trim pieces and side lights. I complained and the said nothing they could do Contacted corporate office and they said shop would make it right. Next day manager called said “ come by and he would make it right.” Went down and he said you have to expect overspray and damage to black panels is normal then said I should be happy, they gave me a deal Contacted customer service and they said corporate would get back to me. I have been waiting 3 weeks and nothing. I use to work body and fender and if you tape car properly there is NO overspray and you never use acetone or a scrubber on plastic. My advice spend a little more and get it done right. Spread the word.
