Personally, I believe the LSVT certification for kids is a powerful and worthwhile addition to a therapist’s skillset. What stands out to me is how structured and intensive the approach is—it doesn’t just aim for small improvements but really pushes for noticeable, lasting change in a child’s ability to communicate. I especially appreciate how it involves the family in the process and focuses on functional, real-world communication. For kids who struggle to be understood or to express themselves confidently, having access to a method like LSVT LOUD can be life-changing. In my view, it’s a solid, research-backed approach that gives therapists both confidence and clear tools to help their young clients succeed.

Very informative, good examples, and great questions after each module

The review of LSVT Big and the video examples were very good ! It would have been nice to have more applications to address freezing of gait and stooped posturing specifically. I am also certified in PWR !Moves and find this approach provides me with greater versatility than LSVT Big. Many times, my patient's come in reporting a specific problem that is new or they have noticed more recently ( getting in and out of a new car, getting out of the new bed, a fall , walking up the steps at their daughter's home etc.) They are not interested in basic exercises or daily tasks... they want to spend the session addressing that specific problem. Also, they have $40 copays and it's not economically feasible for them to be seen 4 x /week.
