Know who you are dealing with!
I had a rule to never deal with out-of-country service providers, I broke my own rule, and have been suffering the consequences ever since. The company english is poor, I do not believe anyone uses their real names, calls and texts come after normal business hours, requests go unanswered, and the relentless nickel-and-diming and upsells are REALLY annoying. They supply a website and then continue to attempt to sell me things I should have been made aware of prior to site creation. They even tell me if I don't copyright my business name, someone else is going to use it....that is so very suspicious it smells! I have no idea where this company is located, I have no way of getting satisfaction or recourse, and a simple request to receive a backup of my website so I can have it hosted elsewhere has gone unfulfilled for 2 weeks. I told them they can keep the money I paid them to host it for the remainder of 3 years (that is how bad I want to put this company behind me) and they still won't send me a backup. During the past 2 weeks while I have been waiting for a backup to take my site elsewhere, they continue to try and sell me things while different reps contact me to see if the problem can be fixed ....it can't!
