We can confirm that is a completely different company we are NOT the local movers based in Orlando FL we are LocalMovers.com which is an online marketplace where you can review and compare different moving companies. We do not conduct any moves ourselves whatsoever!

Localmovers.com is a moving broker posing as a moving marketplace. This scam has been reported as false advertising. They have started a ton of new moving companies and use ai for all of these - you will see in the DOT website they have 1 truck... This is private equity hard at work and frankly a big fat scam

LocalMovers.com is a moving concierge. When someone comes to us, an advisor learns their budget, timeline, and needs, then gathers fixed-price quotes from licensed moving companies on their behalf — at no cost to the customer. The customer compares real quotes and chooses the one that suits them. We do not sell leads, and customers never pay LocalMovers.com. Our referral fee is paid by the moving company out of its own invoice, after the job is completed and the mover has been paid.
On the claims about the carriers themselves: every company on our platform has its USDOT number, FMCSA operating authority, and safety record published directly on its listing, pulled straight from public FMCSA data, so anyone can verify it independently. On top of that public data, we add our own layer of curation: the companies we have actively vetted and partner with are marked as verified partners with a blue badge, so customers can immediately tell them apart from listings that appear purely from public records. We are upfront about that distinction on purpose. If a specific listing looks inaccurate to you, tell us which one and we will look into it.
You also raise AI, and we will be straight with you about exactly what you are seeing. The truck images on our listings are AI-generated graphics — we place each company's real logo onto a standardized truck illustration so that every listing across the directory shares the same clean visual style. It is purely a design decision for consistency, not a photo of any company's actual fleet and not a claim about one. What is real is everything that matters: each company's identity, logo, USDOT/FMCSA license, operating authority, and safety record, all drawn directly from public government data.
We will also be candid about one thing: this is the second review you have left us, and we do not have any record of working with you. I recently used LocalMovers.com for a move from NYC to San Francisco, and overall it was an excellent experience. A cross-country move like this can be overwhelming, but everything was handled with a high level of organization and care from start to finish.
They coordinated every step of the process—packing, transport, storage, and final delivery—and made the entire move feel smooth and well-managed. Communication was clear throughout, and everything arrived on schedule from NYC to my new home in San Francisco.
There was one unfortunate incident where a chair was damaged during the long haul. With a move of this distance, things like that can occasionally happen, and technically it wasn’t even LocalMovers.com’s responsibility since they were coordinating the move rather than physically handling every step. That said, what really stood out was how they handled it—they still stepped up and covered the cost of repairing the chair without hesitation.
That level of accountability and customer care is rare. Even when something falls outside their direct responsibility, they stand behind the experience they deliver. Because of that—and how seamless everything else was—I’d still rate this a clear 5-star experience and would absolutely recommend them.
