i've actually gotten a couple installment loans in the past from some big name lenders and what disappointed me most was the constant faxing back and forth i needed to do in order to get my loan approved...everything from pay stubs to drivers license...and then some. It's surprisingly easy to understand the loan terms, and the online platform *helps* you with incentives to be a good borrower. As you pay back your loan, you can earn rewards and build your credit. Instead of being trapped in the cycle of debt you can improve your finances with a company that seems genuinely interested in helping you, the consumer. A couple caveats -- if you have excellent credit or assets to secure your loan against, LoanNow isn't the right platform for you. Despite their amazing UX work, if you can qualify for single-digit interest rates on a loan via a bank you are financially better off pursuing that option. Second, their minimum loan is $1000 so if you need a quick loan of $200 to help make rent or a car payment, it may be less costly to get a "right-sized" loan despite proportionally higher fees. These aren't really complaints against LoanNow -- I love the platform -- just advice to the savvy consumer. Follow websites such as SuperMoney.com (another one of my favorite personal finance sites) to understand these tradeoffs since being an educated consumer never hurts.
