Horrible service! Do not do business with them!
am extremely disappointed with my experience with LKQ, especially when it comes to their shipping charges and customer service. When I originally placed my order, I was charged extra to have the part shipped to a residential address. I told the representative that I needed to get the information for a commercial address, and he specifically told me that I could call back with it. I did exactly that before the product was shipped. When I called back with the commercial address, I was told I had to pay an additional $62.76 just to change the delivery because they had to print another shipping label and put the part on a commercial truck. I asked why I was being charged even more when I had already paid extra for residential delivery. Since the part had not even been delivered to the residential address, I asked if I would receive any of the residential shipping fee back. I was told no. That makes absolutely no sense to me. If I paid extra for residential delivery and the part was never delivered to the residence, why am I not being refunded that portion of the shipping charge? The communication throughout this process has also been terrible. I had to call several times trying to get answers, and the representatives did not seem knowledgeable or consistent about their own shipping policies. After I expressed my concerns and informed them that I planned to leave a review and file a complaint with the BBB, I still never received confirmation that my part had been delivered or any real updates regarding my order. The only documentation I received was an invoice showing that I paid and information about the factory warranty. For such an expensive purchase, I expected much better communication, transparency, and customer service. Customers should be clearly informed about residential versus commercial shipping charges before they pay, especially if changing the address before shipment results in additional fees with no refund of the original residential charge. This experience made me feel like LKQ was more concerned with collecting additional money than actually helping the customer. I would strongly recommend getting every shipping charge and policy explained in writing before purchasing from LKQ.
