Unwritten refund policy & refused return of unused ad budget
I have been a loyal user of LiteBits for a while—withdrawing over 15,000 sats from their faucet and spending more than 50,000 sats on advertisements on their platform. Recently, I paused an active campaign and requested a partial refund for the undelivered portion of the ad budget. The remaining balance was 26,719 satoshis. When contacting support (Andrew), my refund request was flatly denied under the claim that "they don't offer cash refunds on paused campaigns." However: No such rule exists: I thoroughly checked the LiteBits Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and FAQ on their official website. There is zero mention of unused ad budgets being non-refundable or forced into ad credit. Support explicitly acknowledged in our conversation that "there isn't a refund policy for unused ad budget", yet still refused to return the funds to my Lightning address. They also initially miscalculated the remaining budget at 14,680 sats instead of the actual 26,719 sats. Refusing to return unused funds based on an unwritten, arbitrary rule—while having no active campaign to run—is completely unfair to paying advertisers. I strongly advise advertisers to be cautious before depositing funds here.
