Beware you cannot cancel a subscription…
Beware you cannot cancel a subscription service through Link. I paid for a gym membership using LInk, I later cancelled my membership and removed my payment details from my link account. The Gym kept taking payments and when I contacted Link they said they couldn’t prevent the company taking payments as it was a subscription. When I asked how long the subscription was for they said they didn’t have this information. So basically if you use Link as a payment service you opening yourself up to open ended payments. I believe Link must provide the company with enough information about my payment card to enable them to continue take payments. This is what they say on their website; “To process your order, businesses have access to your email address, phone number, shipping and billing addresses and card expiry date when your pay with a card, or the last four digits of your bank account number when you pay with your bank account. When you place an order using Link, we do not share your full card number or CVV code with the business.” in my opinion they must provide more information otherwise the company would not be able to take unauthorised payments.
