Very difficult to contact anyone, no phone service and slow delivery

I ordered 3 Kovacs exterior lights through NY showroom and received NO follow up, they took forever (months), everytime I called I was on hold FOREVER & given all sorts on answers and estimated times for arrival. I requested the lights to be shipped to me in NJ but ended up having to pick them up in NYC AFTER my electrician had come & gone so they are still in a box... will get installed in the Spring now. I have used LBG many times over the past 12 years for full house & apartment renovations, but this will be my last.

I chose and purchased a $500 floor lamp that was to be delivered. Salesman did not tell me it had to be assembled. The huge box arrived with almost incomprehensible instructions and a missing screw. I phoned the store and was told by the salesman that they don't assemble lamps, and too bad. Had I wanted a lamp requiring assembly, I would have gone to Ikea. After many calls, and trying to assemble it myself (without the vital missing screw) unsuccessfully, I finally spoke with someone in customer service. After a few days, she finally got management to agree to send someone half a mile to my apartment to assemble the lamp. I will NEVER shop there again and DO NOT recommend Lighting By Gregory to anyone.

While we eventually got the fixture we ordered, it took some doing and some extra expense on our part. First, the fixture took months to arrive after the initial order. When it did come, the stem we were sent was the wrong one; we were sure we ordered a different size, but customer service simply said, "That's what comes with the fixture." So we had to place another order for the right stem. We were truly annoyed to find that we were charged for shipping (!), and the part we ordered, though a simple plastic tube, cost $45. Not a happy experience, but it's the light fixture we needed to match others we have in our yard..

I placed an order and was given a 3-4 week production time. When I sent an email a month after to check the status, they apologized for the "confusion" and gave me an additional 4 week production time. I'm sure somebody dropped the ball and forgot to place the order, because my card was not charged until I sent the follow up email. Once the lamp was made (in California), they didn't send it directly to me. They sent it across the country to New York, then sent it right back to me in California. I sent an email once again asking why it wasn't sent to me directly and I never got a response. I had to call and speak to someone directly. The operator blamed the manufacturing company and stated they sent it to LBG accidentally. I had read bad reviews about LBG's customer service, but I like to come to my own conclusions. Keep your 10% of coupon for writing a review. I will not be purchasing from this company ever again.
