Everyone has heard of the other national chairlift company. When it came time for me to get a chair lift for my dad to take him in and out of his house, I found Lifeway. As a company they are actually more "National" than I thought, however the local branch was literally local. Next town over. The people we dealt with? Local. It may not seem like a big deal. But I think we all have purchased items that came through Amazon or another clearinghouse, where there was no local agent when trouble occurred. Matt Randazzo was our salesperson and he was fabulous. He was polite, he was funny, and I think anyone who has had to deal with an aging and ailing parent or spouse knows how important a sense of humor is. He literally talked me off of getting an additional feature. (I don't remember what it was, but clearly, no one missed it!) And for all I know, this is part of his salesperson training. They came, they installed in about 2 hours. The guys were also wonderful. And then, a year later, my dad moved to an assisted living facility. And a few months later I sold his house. I contacted Lifeway, and Matt again came to MY house to determine if that chairlift would work in my cape. And it did. They took it away and stored it and then reinstalled about a month later. It cost about $!,!00 bucks. THe young men that came---one was Joshua and one was Jorge--worked like dogs. My dad's house was a giant contempo cape, and mine is a 1950s one. It required removing doors and handrailings. ANd Josh was like we didn't know we had to remove a door, and I was expecting an additional charge. And I said Matt knew, Matt told us the door would have to come off. All of the original install is expensive. I went for the holds 400 pounds version, but the 300 pound one is not that much less expensive. THe total for my dad was around five grand, which sounds heinous, but is no worse than the OTHER company. When you think about it, a chairlift is essentially a personal elevator built custom to your house. Five thousand is not so bad. Also, I think some people may be able to get assistance with the cost. Use Lifeway Mobility. They are wonderful!

Lifeway--you were a lifesaver! Called you on Monday, custom (not common) equipment installed on Thursday in June during the whole pandemic situation. Cannot thank you enough. Also, your front end staff (Brandi) and installer (Eric) were very pleasant and knowledgeable.

I loved the idea that I could go to their showroom and see how the chair lift worked/fitted, etc. I did not want just a sales rep to come to the house and try and convince me their product was what I needed. Being able to "Try before you buy" was, for me the best way to go.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback and 5* review. We are happy you were able to make it out to the showroom and it sounds like it made all the difference for you! There's nothing like being able to see, and touch a product in person!
