Thank you for putting your trust in our brand! Your comment is exactly on point. Because our Life’s Abundance dry pet foods are so nutrient dense, the suggested feeding is generally less than many other brands so it ends up costing less to feed than other brands.

We realize that when you compare a bag of Life’s Abundance pet food to other foods, it may seem like ours are more expensive to feed. However, in general, that’s not the case at all. That’s because the most accurate way to compare the price of one pet food versus another is the cost to feed a meal. For example, the suggested amount to feed a 30 lb. dog Life’s Abundance All Life Stage kibble is 1 ½ cups whereas a competing food may be 2 ½ cups. So, if both foods cost 50 cents a cup, the Life’s Abundance would cost 75 cents to feed and the competing food would cost $1.25 to feed. Because our Life’s Abundance dry pet foods are so nutrient dense, the suggested feeding is generally less than many other brands so it ends up costing less to feed than other brands.

In answer to your question, we make every effort to source our ingredients from the U.S. Foremost is our commitment to quality and safety ... all other factors, including price and country of origin, come later. Additionally, availability issues must be routinely dealt with in the global marketplace. We work very hard to offer high-quality products at reasonable prices for our loyal customers. At present, the majority of our ingredients are sourced domestically. However, there are a few ingredients (for example, taurine and pomegranate extract) that we source from Asian countries, including India and China. Rest assured, we use only a handful of trusted U.S. suppliers who from time to time import this small minority of items. You should also know that we employ numerous safety and quality controls to ensure the highest quality products. Our ingredients and foods undergo multiple tests, throughout the course of the manufacturing process. Therefore, we are extremely confident in the quality and safety of our food products.
