Always had a great experience but recently received canned dog food that split & spilt
Typically my experience with Life's Abundance has been 5-stars but just recently when I ordered some canned wet food for my dog, the package I received had a couple of dented cans and one that had a slit causing the contents to leak. Not only did I lose a can but the rest of the cans had to be cleaned up. While I didn't get a chance to report this back to LIfe's Abundance, I just hope in the future there is some additional packaging material in the box added so the cans don't move around and get dented or open up. I received a second package with dented cans but this second time there were none opened but still, no additional packing material or bubble wrap to prevent the cans from moving around in the box when the box is not filled up.

We are so sorry to hear that your experience with us was not up to par. When it comes to dents in the cans, this can sometimes be due to reverse points. Reverse points typically occur as a result of high vacuum inside the can during the cook process which can be caused by a combination of the temperature of the product at the time the can is filled, the amount of steam added as well as the product formula (recipe). The higher vacuum during the cook process causes the indentions on the bottom of the can, usually at the point of curvature. Because of the structure of our cans such indentations to the bottom in no way affect the integrity of the seam around the lid. In these cases, the safety and quality of the food is in no way affected. However, for those of your cans that are slit and opened, consuming the contents should be avoided. While we make every effort to provide adequate cushioning in our shipments there can be on occasion some damage to the cans. If at any time you receive a dented cans from us, do not feed the contents to your pet. Please call us and we will be happy to send you replacement cans. Thank you for choosing Life's Abundance!
