Jury Still Out
I can't give more than 3 stars for the following reasons: - I don't like that Life's Abundance isn't regularly compared to other dog foods. This is due, in part, to the the fact that it's not commercially available in stores. - I don't really appreciate the "get in with the breeders" tactic. Breeders get their food for free. They start the pets on this food and recommend that you stick with what is working. It's a bit slimy. - The fact that Life's Abundance also specializes in skin care products and cleaners reduces my confidence in their ability to specialize in pet food. - It's difficult to find information about Life's Abundance as a company. - I can't buy it at the store. - I think it's too expensive and the shipping only adds insult to injury. The Good: - My dog eats the food and it was recommended by the breeder. - Our dog is very healthy. - What I have read is mostly positive, but I am skeptical about the authenticity of the reviews. - There are lots of options if your pet has sensitivities to different ingredients. For now I plan to stay with this food, but am searching for a lower cost alternative that is available in stores and is high quality.
