My first order was placed on July 7, 2019, for $96.68. This is double the price of a bag of food of the same size that my veterinarian recommends. I re ordered my next bag of Life's Abundance on August 29, 2019 at the price of $97.73. Why the increase? I didn't get anything better or additional than my previous order. My seventh bag of Life's Abundance ordered on March 12, 2020, was now up to $98.88. Again, why the increase? I did not receive anything better or additional to my previous six orders. The food that my veterinarian recommends, which i feed to my other dog, did not undergo any increases in that time frame. I see no reason for ordering any more food from Life's Abundance.

At Life’s Abundance we keep prices competitive and that takes hard work. This is particularly true given the high-quality nature of our products. To achieve this, we continually streamline internal operations. However, we also have to operate within the constraints of market conditions. At times, we sustain cost increases in ingredients, packaging, freight and shipping, sometimes making a small price increase unavoidable.

Thank you for trusting us with your 4-legged friend's nutrition! We realize that when you compare a bag of Life’s Abundance pet food to other foods, it may seem like ours are more expensive to feed. However, in general, that’s not the case at all. That’s because the most accurate way to compare the price of one pet food versus another is the cost to feed a meal. For example, the suggested amount to feed a 30 lb. dog Life’s Abundance All Life Stage kibble is 1 ½ cups whereas a competing food may be 2 ½ cups. So, if both foods cost 50 cents a cup, the Life’s Abundance would cost 75 cents to feed and the competing food would cost $1.25 to feed. Because our Life’s Abundance dry pet foods are so nutrient dense, the suggested feeding is generally less than many other brands so it ends up costing less to feed than other brands.

My 2 little dogs won't eat the dry food I bought, $52 wasted because they said I could send it back, however, they will only reimburse the food and not the shipping cost, plus I have to pay for shipping it back too! Now, whenever I call I can only get an answering machine and they said they would send me a new case since one of my cans exploded on me and that was about 10 days ago and have received nothing yet! It exploded when I started to open the can and made a huge mess, probably botulism!

I was waiting for my auto shipment to arrive and once it didnt I logged in to look and see what was going on only to find out that my credit card that was set to "auto pay" had expired. I received no notification that my auto ship was held up pending this being resolved. Annoying

The shipping costs and return policy is a huge problem. I am trying to find a food that my dog will eat. So to have to pay for shipping and then pay for return shipping is TOO expensive. Other companies have free shipping and free returns. I recommend having sample sizes to see if the dog will even eat it.

We do offer trial-sized bags of most of our dry foods, and you may also purchase samples on the website or through our Customer Care team. As for the shipping costs, we can certainly understand your concerns. Please know we are constantly looking for ways to keep shipping reasonable and improve delivery times. We’re not a mega-corporation that manufactures massive amounts of products and brands, storing them in huge clearing houses where they’re kept for long periods of time waiting to be shipped out to smaller warehouses and store stock rooms until ordered or stocked on the shelves. We’re all about premium quality, safety, and superior service at Life’s Abundance and we’re proud of it.
