We believe products designed to work together create better outcomes for people and pets. The outcomes that actually matter — for your dog, your skin, your home — come from products designed to work together, not products trying to do everything alone. Whether you’re feeding your dog, taking care of your skin, or cleaning up the kitchen, what you’ll find here are products that just work together, so you get better outcomes with less guesswork.

We bought this food at the recommendation of the breeder. After 2 weeks our dog was continuing to have loose bowel movements and throwing up. We've switched her food and she is doing much better. The breeder has a Facebook page and one of the other pet parents contacted me. They also had the same issue with this food.

While people's description of the smell of their dog's food is certainly subjective, we can assure you that the product you received left our facility in premium condition. We are confident in the quality and safety of our products, in part due to the fact that we maintain control over our finished product until it starts its journey to your door. Our quality guarantee states, "We promise to deliver high-quality products, in good condition, to your door." In line with that commitment, we hope that the replacement we provided arrived to you in perfect condition.

I ordered your food a week before…
I ordered your food a week before getting my puppy and the food never arrived. When I followed up via email regarding my order, I didn't get any confirmation regarding where my food was, but that another bag could be reissued. Three days later another food bag arrived; however, I had to feed my puppy in the meantime and had already switched his food. I wasn't going to switch his good yet again.
It was a frustrating process and now I have to go through the process of returning the bag that came late. I understand there are current issues with shipping; however, I never got communication regarding my purchase and the tracking site was not giving answers either.

Expensive dog food!
I buy LIfe's Abundance dog food because my breeder requires my dog to eat it for my pup's health guarantee to be extended from six months to two years. I've never seen dog food priced this high but it ships quickly to my door and always seems fresh.
Unfortunately, my dog doesn't like eating it and seems to have runny stool when he does. I'm not a vet, so, I mix in another top-rated brand with the food and this seems to encourage him to eat and it seems to help firm up his stool.
I couldn't find many professional reviews about the food, but during my search I did stumble into a plethora of what appeared to be multi-level-marketing materials for their product that self-describes them as a direct selling company that "In business since 1999, our company offers people who share our passion for wellness the opportunity to earn income based on the sale of products in their sales network."
I don't have a problem with the marketing model, but I would have preferred to stumble into professional reviews and laboratory analysis of this product instead of marketing materials. This is something I would like to see as a consumer of a premium-priced product because there's no way for me to be entirely sure that this product is any better or worse than a product that is 1/3 the cost, which would still be considered a premium product.
(MY RESPONSE TO LA'S REPLY)
I have revised my review from three stars to one. I never mentioned anything about illness or sickness. I said the food gave my dog runny stool and that my breeder required the food to extend my dog's health guarantee from 6 months to 2 years.
As for the marketing methods, the field reps have nothing to do with the quality of the product. I buy it direct from Life's Abundance and have to enter in a 'code' that links my purchase to my "field rep" (which is my dog breeder) so they can make their commission off my purchase? I've read the marketing materials and, yes, field reps can purchase and resell but that's not how I purchase mine. There was also no mention of where I could find independent tests of this product, which was a concern in the review that was disregarded.
What exactly is the unique measure of control by selling through field reps? Is it a measure of control for commissions? Does it control the customer who buys the food because the breeder, who is also a commissioned field rep, requires the product to honor an extended health guarantee?
This all seems very fishy to me. Yes, the food seems to be fresh and high quality - I don't contest that. Perhaps Life's Abundance will Google "lifes abundance food for health guarantee" and check out all of their field reps who are breeders that require this food for an extended health guarantee.
I wonder if it is more than coincidence that many breeders (not just mine) require customers to buy a product they make a commission from. Peculiar, but, that's network marketing for you.
(Yet another revision to my review. It looks like LA deleted their original response - is that convenient?)
I had gripes about the product and that's why my original review was three stars. LA's response didn't sit very well with me, so I reduced my rating to 1 star.
I never seem to get any direct responses to my concerns, and, it's my opinion that appropriate parties should be notified that many breeders are requiring customers to use this product that they receive a commission on to extend a health guarantee for a puppy. Using an equivalent product should be sufficient, but LA seems to support their breeders/distributors. How would you feel if you were forced to buy a specific food to guarantee your puppy's health. I paid $103.20, delivered, for a 40 pound bag?
Yes, the food seems to be fresh - but there seems to be no independent tests to evaluate this food that LA has provided me and there seems to be no evidence that this food is any better than other premium foods that cost much less.

2nd update: We are so sorry you feel that we have not properly addressed your concerns. We will be reaching out to you via email so we can further clarify our answers, and take care of any other questions you may have.
Each employee-owner is committed to upholding our promise to consumers for high-quality, safe and effective products, as well as first class service. We are sorry to hear that our initial response to you missed the mark in that regard.
As far as the measure of control over product quality, we are referencing our commitment to market through word of mouth versus retail or big box. Because we want the products you receive to be in the premium condition we intend, the goods go from the manufacturer straight to one of our own warehouses. Next stop, your door. To us, "premium" means much more than just saying so on the bag. From formulation, to selecting ingredients and the best manufacturing partners, there is true purpose in every step. You may be interested to know that we even track which lot numbers you receive. This is part of our safety system that will allow us to get in touch with you directly in the event there is ever an issue with a product.
In reference to health guarantees and commissions, breeders have worked to become experts in their field. This expertise is gained over time (decades in many cases) and with significant financial investment to test products in the search for the best. Once they do find a trustworthy company with a product they feel confident to recommend and tie their own reputation to, the commission is an added perk on top of the results they get from the products.
As for nutritional adequacy, we meet or exceed AAFCO standards. We are also in the process of conducting feeding trials. This is a years-long process with the first trial on our Weight Loss formula successfully completed. If you are seeking additional detail on any specific nutrient(s) on our pet foods we are happy to provide this for you. Simply contact our Customer Care team at [email protected].

We bought 2 kittens from a breeder
We bought 2 kittens from a breeder. The breeder had been feeding them Life's Abundances for 17 weeks. 4 weeks prior to receiving the kittens we ordered a starter pack. The kittens are eating mostly wet food and do not like the treats. I have now had to order 3 started packs just to give them wet food while the treats and dry food stack up. Due to covid issues there are production issues which is understandable. They have decided only to sell wet food to customers on auto ship but will not add new auto ship customers. They will not disassemble started packs to sell existing customers their food, but instead insist existing customers pay for a whole starter pack just to get wet food. These starter packs should not be sold right now to new customers when they cannot continue to provide the food to them. Shady AF

Congratulations on your new kittens! We absolutely value each and every customer, and appreciate your business. Please know that we understand the inconvenience of not having access to all of the products you want. We tried to keep our Start Packs on sale for as long as possible for new pet parents like you, but unfortunately we had to take this product off sale as well. Like many businesses across all industries, we are in an unprecedented situation directly caused by the pandemic, and have had to make tough decisions. We are sorry that timing did not allow you the chance to join Autoship. As you have learned, those enrolled in this discount program have the additional benefit of already being in line to receive inventory when it becomes limited. This is the first time in over 20 years of business that we have had to do this. We completely understand your frustration and disappointment and are working hard to get things back to normal.
In the meantime, as a suggestion, you can soften our premium kibble with a little bit of water or even use baby food as a mix-in. It's highly regulated, so a jar of chicken baby food is only chicken and usually avoids extra salt. Moisten the kibble and mix it in as you would the canned food! Thank you for your patience and understanding!
