I recently used Levels.fyi for salary benchmarking and negotiation service. There are many similar services out there for job seekers. What I appreciate about Levels.fyi is its human touch and thoroughness in the process. Most people, myself included, only think about salary negotiation when there is an offer in place. However, in a two week window, there are a lot of things at play and the stakes are extremely high. I am fortunate to work with one of their best coaches, Randy, and he guided me through communications to get myself more time, and other otherwise easy-to-ignore details. I am grateful for the hand-holding every step of the way, and would use their service next time I'm looking for a new role.

The negotiation support service is 100x worth it. I've been taken advantage of before with respect to comp, even after negotiating to the best of my ability. Having someone in my corner who is well-versed in this aspect of the hiring process and is able to provide advice and guidance was invaluable. I feel like I got the most out of the offers that I received, and for the first time EVER, I feel like I was able to maximize my value. I would not hesitate at all to recommend this service to others; I've already recommended it to my friends.

Joe was wonderful to work with. I only wish I had used this service earlier in my career. I know now that during previous negotiations I left a huge amount of money on the table. Joe helped me increase my initial offer by $75K. Working with him also reduced the stress of what is typically an agonizing process for me. I learned a lot and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

I booked for an 1 hour resume review session with levels.fyi. The schedule availability is immense, I can basically book the meeting whenever I want to! And during the meeting the reviewer was very experienced (10+ yrs recruiter) and share alot of insights that even full time engineers would not know. After the meeting, the reviewer even offered to connect on linkedin and was open to any questions I had. Definitely worth the money.

I loved the candid advice I got from my coach. My coach and I were able to justify asking for a much higher offer than I would have felt comfortable with solo, and they matched the salary, gave half the additional stock, and offered a sign-on bonus (which is rare at this company). I've been at this company a week, and I love the compensation, but love the culture more. Levels.fyi helped me find the right fit at an appropriate compensation level relative to the value I bring.

The coaching service was useful, but not exceptional. If you're a good negotiator, I wouldn't expect anything revolutionary. If you need someone to bounce ideas off of and check your logic, it may be useful.

I used levels.fyi twice for negotiating multiple FAANG offers and had a fantastic experience with Cate as my coach! I am a first-generation student and former academic (i.e. someone with no prior experience or cultural familiarity with industry negotiation), and levels.fyi made a huge difference in making me feel empowered to pursue the best compensation package possible. It was so assuring to have Cate in my corner the whole time, as she coached me after-hours on everything from writing emails to talking points on calls.
