I ordered $445 worth of Air Optix…
I ordered $445 worth of Air Optix Colors, a year supply, from here. Before I ordered, spending all this money, I inquired if they would let you order a trial pair. I was told no by their customer service. I have different prescriptions for each eye. They advertise a money back guarantee, which is why I ordered from them. I opened two boxes and used one lens from each box. When I wore the contacts, they greatly impaired my distance vision and my near vision was nonexistent. I knew this was not correct given two brands my optometrist gave me to try. I reached out, went through the refund process. Returned all the boxes, but the 2 opened ones, and they refunded me less than half the money. I was not expecting a full refund, but it should have been close to the original amount. Their excuse is because of the 2 opened boxes, which I cannot use, and considered me returning only half my order. The agent that helped me over chat was very rude and sent it to higher management for review. Their return process is a nightmare. I should have just paid more with 1-800-Contacts. *update* I received a follow up email and now they are claiming I did not get the contacts from them. They are telling me they can destroy them, unopened boxes that came from them, or charge me $14.99 to send contacts I cannot wear, back to me. *update 4/29* Spoke to their supervisor who was completely useless. Unwilling to give a partial refund for the lenses I sent back, because it was not the full six pack, and acted like if I paid $14.99 to have them sent to me they were doing me a favor. Doesn’t matter that I cannot see that well with them. I told them to destroy them, but I am sure they are going to turn around and sell the unopened boxes as two packs. Do yourself a favor, don’t order a year supply from them, if it is a new brand. If you do and they don’t work, 1-800- Contacts will take them back, even the opened ones. You pay more with them, but they are a 100% better contact retailer. I will tell people to avoid lens.com at all costs.
