Credit score 745. 30% DTI, declined. Don’t bother with them.
Response from LENDGO.COMOct 12, 2026
Hi Peg, we're sorry to hear about your experience, and we understand how frustrating a decline is when your credit and DTI are strong.
Loan approvals depend on more than credit score and DTI. Loan-to-value, property type, income and employment history, documentation and the loan program itself can all play a part. Sometimes one of these factors is what makes the difference.
We'd like to look into what happened and see if we can help. We've sent you a request for more information, and once we hear back, our team will follow up with you.

Thanks for sharing this. We only connect borrowers with lenders who are a strong fit for their situation, so that nobody's time gets wasted. In a small number of cases, none of our lending partners are a match, and we're sorry that was the case for you. If anything changes with your scenario, please feel free to come back and we'll take another look.

There's no way I would use LENDGO to…
There's no way I would use LENDGO to get me a loan. If they can't get me a simple answer to a simple question, then they don't get anything. There are better companies to deal with than this. I'm just asking for a rate. I'm not asking for an application or anything. I just want a effing rate.
UPDATE: no less than 16 calls from lenders within 24 hours is customer abuse at its finest
Response from LENDGO.COMSep 10, 2026
Sorry for the frustration.
A rate we just throw out is really a guess — the real value of Lendgo is getting vetted lenders to compete for your business, and that competition is what gets you a genuinely lower rate, not a number pulled out of thin air. That said, several calls landing close together before you've connected with anyone isn't the experience we're aiming for. Appreciate you giving us the chance to make it right.
I wanted to explain a bit more about how Lendgo works. We don't quote a rate ourselves because a number we just throw out isn't a real rate — it hasn't been checked against your actual situation, so it's a guess that can change once a lender looks at the details. Instead, we connect you with multiple vetted, trusted lenders at once. When lenders know they're competing and have to put their best offer forward or lose the deal to someone else, that's what actually drives your rate down — it's the core reason the service works the way it does, and it's designed to get borrowers a genuinely better deal than going to one lender alone.
On the calls: lenders are asked to follow up quickly so people aren't left waiting days for an answer, but 16 calls in a 24-hour window is more than that should ever look like, and I understand why that felt overwhelming. We're looking into what happened on our end.

Misleding Rate Information
I am constantly inundated with ads from Lendago advertising rates that are not attainable by the average consumer. Recently saw advertised 4.38% which is far below what we know to be the 30-yr mortgage rate which is at around 6%. These companies need to be more transparent about fees, points, or special qualifications (ARMs) to attain these rates.
