I joined AIDA in January 2022 as a burnt-out music teacher who decided that Instructional Design was going to be my new career. I am now in my final month of the program and I cannot believe how much I have learned and how far I have come in 9-months. I chose the AIDA program because I wanted a thorough and rigorous program that would prepare me for my career change and I can honestly say that all of my hard work has paid off. I am so thankful to Jill and her team for everything that they do, the support that I have received in the program has allowed me to grow in ways I never imagined. In a few weeks, I start my new job in Instructional Design/eLearning Development and it would not have been possible without the AIDA program.

I joined AIDA in January 2022 after 15 years of teaching high school. I attended the Jumpstart conference and everything about it was energetic, friendly, professional and not pushy. Upon starting the program I found total support and guidance as well as detailed feedback on every project. This education program is WORTH the expense. I have 1 month until I finish my time in the program and I have already been hired to work on 3 different contracts. Jill and the team are amazing.

Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) helped me translate my current skills, but has also given me an additional set of tools that helped me transition into a new career in instructional design. It took a tremendous amount of work on my end, but AIDA mentors were there the entire time, supporting, sharing knowledge, and cheering me on in this new journey. Last year at this time, I was a burnt out educator looking for a way out and convinced I was stuck. Because of my time in AIDA, in less than 2 weeks, I will begin a new full-time remote ID position with a significant increase in pay! I did the work, but AIDA gave me the tools, a clear path, and the support I really needed to succeed! My experience in AIDA has opened so many doors for me and it was completely worth the investment in myself!

I would 100% recommend AIDA to prepare for a career in Instructional Design. In under 9 months I felt well prepared to apply for instructional designer positions and in less than 9 months I signed a contract for a full time W2 position in Instructional Design.

This has been a life-changing experience. Not only have I been surrounded and led by passionate people, but they are so focused on continuing to grow and evolve right along with the program itself. All that I have learned has been effectively input into my new career, a path that I was able to start after two months of my start date! With effort, focus, determination, and all the AIDA support- you can do the same!

I 100% recommend this program to anyone who is wanting to pivot into Instructional Design. It is a lot of work, but the whole AIDA team provides with endless resources, support, feedback (honest constructive feedback!), and guidance from beginning to end. The community of people in the program was incredible from the very beginning, and I never felt alone even though the program required a lot of independent work that I could time at my own pace. During the time that I have been in the program, Jill and her team have constantly been introducing improvements to the experience, the assignments, the pacing, the branding, etc. I am very grateful that I trusted this program, because they delivered on every single promise and went beyond my expectations.

AIDA is an amazing program for anyone interested in transitioning into the ID field. During my time in the program I learned SO much about the instructional design process and was able to get direct experience with many ID tools to help build my skills and portfolio. The mentors in the program are amazing and always willing to help when needed. They also do a great job preparing you for the job search process. I started the program in January of 2022 (at 28 weeks pregnant!) and had accepted a job by May of 2022. You have to go into it being willing to put in the time and effort and be open to feedback...but it will all be worth it.

I cannot say enough good things about AIDA. Before I joined the program, I was frustrated in my career and felt stuck and unqualified to make a career change. Though the mass amounts of learning, upskilling, and practical applications AIDA offers, I am about to start a dream job. I am confident in my skills and ability to keep growing. My life and my family's lives are changed forever because of the doors AIDA has opened for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I would recommend AIDA to anyone who is wanting to learn, work hard, and make a positive change in your career.
