Lakota's LegacyReviews of lakotaslegacy.com

My mission is to help dogs feel safe, confident, and understood—while supporting their humans with compassionate, science‑based guidance that creates lasting change. I help dogs who struggle with anxiety, reactivity, trauma, and other big emotions using gentle, reward‑based behavior support. My work is focused on helping dogs feel safe, confident, and capable in the world—not just compliant.I’m FDM‑certified and an IAABC Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, a credential that reflects advanced education, hands‑on experience, and work with complex behavior cases. I specialize in supporting young and sensitive dogs, as well as dogs with high arousal, fear‑based behaviors, and aggression. My approach is always science‑based and force‑free. I never use shock collars, fear, intimidation, or punishment. Instead, I focus on education, thoughtful management, skill‑building, and behavior modification that respects the dog as an individual.I work one‑on‑one with clients both locally and worldwide through private in‑home sessions and online support. When needed, I collaborate with veterinarians to ensure a well‑rounded plan—often helping clients avoid the cost of a veterinary behaviorist.Kindness first: Every dog deserves to be treated with empathy, patience, and respect.Science over shortcuts: Decisions are guided by evidence, learning theory, and best practices—not quick fixes.Force‑free always: No fear, pain, intimidation, or punishment—ever. The whole picture matters: Behavior is influenced by environment, emotions, health, and relationships.Support for humans too: Real change happens when people feel informed, empowered, and supported. At Lakota’s Legacy, I believe real behavior change comes from understanding, trust, and strong relationships. My goal is to help both dogs and their humans feel more confident, connected, and supported every step of the way.✔ Advanced certifications (FDM & IAABC)✔ Gentle, force‑free methods✔ Experience with complex cases✔ Holistic, science‑based
