I purchased a signet ring on a payment plan. The total was $1,916.25. The ring needed to be sized. It came late which they apologized for and refunded me the $75 for sizing. When it finally arrived it came in a Manila envelope. When I asked why it was not wrapped and put in a ring box I was told it was because of it came from the person resizing so as not to have me wait longer. I had to ask multiple times for a ring box but never received one. Which was incredibly frustrating. I’ve never purchased an almost $2,000 ring prior and had it shown up in an envelope. To date I have still not received a ring box. I have purchased multiple times before and never had a bad experience. But this left such a bad taste in my mouth.

This is my first ever review, I’m leaving this in hopes to give future buyers a little perspective. I purchased an antique ring from the curio, it was my first experience buying from this seller. The ring I purchased was at the time, my most expensive purchase. The communication with the seller was very poor. I would send messages about the ring, and see the seller view my message on Instagram, but would not message back until days later. A few hours? Fine, sure people get busy. But days? Again, this is not the customer service I expect when buying an item that is thousands of dollars. Upon paying off the ring (I paid it off several months early), days went by and I never received a message with tracking information. I had to personally message and ask for the tracking information. Once I received the ring, I took it to a reputable jeweler in my area for an appraisal. The diamond weight the seller claimed the ring to be vs the diamond weight in the appraisal was off by .35 carats. The central diamond is of lesser “i” clarity, I wish the clarity would have been disclosed to me. I was not given any details on the ring other than the era, medal, and diamond weight (which was short of the weight that was claimed). From a customer service standpoint, I give this experience a 6/10.
