I ordered a pair of Attack Pants online in late March. I left the tags still attached and put in drawer for the summer. Lost 70+ pounds and tried to exchange for a smaller size. Absolutely no help from Kuiu customer service. I was told even though still in unused condition with tags still attached, they would not be willing to help. I have been a longtime customer and even part of their “Inner Circle”, guess that means nothing. I can’t justify spending my hard earned money with Kuiu any longer. Sitka and First Lite will be getting my business from now on

I purchased Kuiu Attack Pants, unfortunately after 1 use in heavy brush, the thorn apart. Good marketing, cheap quality. Classic american brand with chinese material and production. Not raccomending.

I purchased three pairs of KUIU Kutana shorts in June and August 2025 at $109 per pair, as well as one pair of KUIU Tiburon shorts for $99. I originally purchased KUIU because of its reputation for premium, durable outdoor clothing, and over the past year I have spent well over $1,400 on KUIU products. Unfortunately, all four pairs of my shorts are now showing the same premature wear in the same front pocket area. My Gunmetal Kutana pair has developed a large hole in the pocket area. My Ash Kutana pair has developed a smaller hole in the same location. The other two pairs, including my third pair of Kutana shorts and my Tiburon shorts, are showing noticeable wear developing in that exact same area and appear to be heading toward the same failure. The only thing routinely carried in this pocket is my cell phone. These shorts have not been subjected to anything unusual that would explain the repeated damage. They have simply been worn normally, with a cell phone carried in the pocket as you would reasonably expect a pair of shorts to handle. What makes this particularly disappointing is that KUIU markets the Kutana shorts as abrasion resistant, yet I now have four separate pairs of shorts exhibiting the same abrasion and fabric deterioration after only about 13–15 months. I submitted a warranty claim with photographs of the damage. KUIU denied the claim and stated that “snags, tears, pilling, punctures, abrasion, and burns” are not considered manufacturing defects and are therefore not covered by warranty. Rather than addressing the fact that multiple pairs are failing in the same location, I was referred to an independent repair company where I could pay to have the shorts repaired myself. I understand that clothing experiences normal wear and that no garment lasts forever. But when two pairs of $109 Kutana shorts have already developed holes and two additional pairs, including a $99 pair of Tiburon shorts, are showing the same deterioration in exactly the same location from normal use, I do not consider that reasonable durability for premium-priced products. After spending well over $1,400 with KUIU during the past year, both the repeated durability issue and the handling of my warranty claim have caused me to lose confidence in the brand. I will not be purchasing KUIU products in the future.

I ordered about $400 on line. I ordered up a size based on reviews. The rise is about 2 inches shorter than clothes I currently wear and the zipper is a bit more than half the length of a regular zipper. Needless to say, their sizing is off by more than 1 size up. Therefore, since there is a store in town, I could take these back and select sizes and fits of other items I like. NOOOO, I must mail it back for 8 bucks regardless if shipping back 1 item or all of them. I guess other businesses I deal with, except the Amazon conglomerate, all take back clothes at the brick and mortar stores. Never have they said no. Well, no wonder these businesses are losing the war. I’ll send them back, but never bother about going to a store or ordering. Now, the quality of the clothes: Love the thin fabric, hate the short zippers, the side cooling zippers on the side can’t be used efficiently as the underlying fabric catches each and every time. So, expensive, not well thought out and “cheap, cheap, cheap”

2nd time customer service failed a good customer. I have purchased thousands of dollars of clothing and this is the treatment I get. I wanted to return a Encounter 290 Quarter zip as the large was super tight and fit more like a medium, they refused to exchange it for an XL. Now they had a special where if you purchased a regular item or items over a $199 threshold they would give a free duffel bag. I purchased a Guide Pro Softshell Jacket for full price at $279 and again, they refused to send a free duffel bag even though they had it advertised. Fool me once, fool me twice. not waiting for a third strike. Kuiu no more, going with Badlands, Kings Camo, Sitka, First lite. Badlands has an unconditional lifetime warranty - no questions asked.

Overly disappointed with shirt I received from KUIU 2026 and it’s made and fits like a shirt from 1980. A block.
