This is about an expensive (four figure) shower control, the Kohler K-528-K-NA DTV Digital Two-Port Thermostatic Valve. It is a total rip-off. Works barely 10% of the time. We’ve thrown good money after bad, paying plumbers to “fix” and “clean” it. After four frustrating years, we have no choice but to invest in removing all Kohler products from our house. The fact is, this is a bad company that makes bad products. Avoid Kohler completely.

Contacted Kohler to purchase a replacement toilet seat for a Kohler toilet. Kohler referred me to ebay for an elongated seat in the color of my choice. The seat arrived in a timely manner. I contacted a professional plumber to install the seat. It is a real piece of junk. In addition to being flimsy the lid is not even attached to the seat. The seat does not fit snugly on the toilet. I wasted my money. How can a company rip customers off in this manner. I have two other toilets that are American Standard and have never had a issue. Kohler should refund the purchase price.

A pair of Kohler representatives came to my elderly father‘s house to sell a walk-in shower to him. They made it sound amazing; the highest quality materials, etc. Six months later and the job is still not complete. There was a part missing on one of the shower doors, and they replaced it with a chrome part instead of brushed nickel. The caulking is uneven and looks tacky. Should a luxury shower even have caulking? The parts which hold the fixtures to the wall were not secure and the handle fell off when we turned the shower on. They did not put a foam backing behind the round part that attaches the handle to the wall so water was getting in through the hole in the wall. I feel like my dad got swindled into paying $15,000 for a mediocre job. We are so disappointed in the end result.

Have a Sterling sliding glass shower door installed in 2009. Have always bought Sterling as their products are stylish and seem to last thru use and maintenance. Had to replace tub and just needed some parts to recondition the slider shower doors (which were in excellent condition). Nightmare talking to customer service and receiving product. Had to order parts thru Sterling AND Kohler. Took over 8 weeks and multiple phone calls to receive parts. At one point, a part number had changed to another number, and for 6 WEEKS, NO ONE bothered to adjust the order for that change in part number. Loved Sterling but will not order a Sterling product again when parts cannot be obtained without wasting my life away dealing with customer service. THX STERLING!!! :-(

Better order your products somewhere else. #Kohler doesn't provide return shipping labels making the buyer pay and deal with all related to this and lose money a time, fast shipping's price is crazy high. Products lack of proper description, it's almost impossible to distinguish between different versions or editions of the same model name. They suck bad, is that simple.

I bought a Sterling Store+ 30 in x 60 in.single threshold left hand shower base w/ shower walls 10 piece accessory kit. There is pitting on the shower base finish. Plumber had to install because I needed it for operation as I am disabled. Just got off phone with Kohler and they said they can not repair, only replace. I could cry. The is not an option because I already had to pay plumber. So disappointed. Would not recommend this company. It is a shame, because I really liked the unit except for the finish flaw.

Brand new toilet...2 weeks already not flushing...had to pay a plumber as much as it cost new to replace defective parts....called kohler...gave me the too bad oh well its your problem.....never ever again will I buy anything from this scam company.

We purchased kohler shower fixtures for a entire home remodel. Some of the shower fixtures failed. We called kohler customer service and they said that they no longer carry the trim for our shower fixtures which was fairly new. They offer to send us new fixtures which we pay for. Our plumber tells us that the fixtures do not work. We contacted kohler customer service and they tell us that they will warranty out the shower fixtures as per their warranty by giving us a 50% discount on new shower fixtures. We select new fixtures but when we ask for the total price the price is almost more then what the newly selected shower fixture set will cost. When we ask them what happened they tell us well we gave you 50% off not the price of the fixture set that we sell to everyone but some much higher almost double in cost list price which nobody pays. In essence they did not honor their warranty they lied about the discount. BUYER BEWARE!! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE BUY KOHLER YOU WILL HAVE NO WARRANTY AND THEY WILL USE A NON EXISTING LIST PRICE TO OFFER A DISCOUNT WHICH IS ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT WE ALL PAY.
