I have used them many times with no problems but I drove 25 miles to pick up a car but the app would crash when trying to open the car. Contacted support and rebooted phone and reloaded the app but both my wife and I couldn’t open car. Support could not remotely open the car too. No other cars available so now have no car and had to spend $100 in uber to travel to and from the Toyota garage. Have to now wait for the $400+ refund plus the $200 that they also take a hold on.

Da jeg ringede til kundeservice, kunne de ikke hjælpe – de foreslog en anden bil et helt andet sted, men vidste ikke, hvornår den bil, jeg havde lejet, ville ankomme. Jeg måtte til sidst cykle hjem og opgive besøget, hvilket var virkelig skuffende både for mig og min onkel. Kinto har dog efterfølgende givet mig en kompensation til næste leje, og det sætter jeg pris på. Alligevel var oplevelsen så ærgerlig, at jeg kun kan give to stjerner denne gang.

The fair wear and tear policy is a bit of a joke the worst out of all the lease company's I've used had one mark on the bumper and a couple of fine light scratches on the lacquer and have to do fork out money for it what do you expect for 3 years. The money doesn't bother me its the principal of the thing its just penny pinching so be aware if you lease a car off Kinto if its not in the same condition you received it be prepared to fork out a lot of money

I have been Kinto customer for a year or two but I have not used their cars for a while. There used to be cars within a 100m of my home and at a Toyota dealership that I could walk to for car pickup. I couldn't find any locations for pick up near me recently and I rang Kinto to find out why. They would not answer any questions unless I was a customer and I gave them my name, phone, address, date of birth. Such poor customer service, I have cancelled my membership but they could have kept a customer if they had been interested in answering my question. I know it's not the fault of the people on the phone, but to be a member just to have a question answered is silly in the extreme. Poor decision Kinto.

The rental experience was fine and it is great this particular location allowed 24/7 access too. I arrived 15 minutes early so I had to hang around for 10 minutes before the vehicle trip would work. Before returning the vehicle I went to top up but the fuel card would not work, put in the pin as per the app and km as per the vehicle and it just kept declining. Tried putting higher km's and it still won't work. Ended up calling customer support and they asked me to pay out of pocket first but will then refund me. After the trip I provided all information as requested, with occasional follow up with no respond, finally after two weeks I had to threaten them to take this matter to VCAT before I got a refund.

I had a car on a 3 year lease, due to end in September, which I terminated 3 months early. My dealings with Kinto may have gone smoothly had the lease run it's course! Bungled collection attempts and 4 months to sort out the balance of the account. They take weeks to respond to emails, lose payments and the price they quote you to end your contract is incorrect. I would not use this company again. Very stressful.

I leased a car from Kinto for 2yrs. It went back in September looking almost as good as when it arrived. Clean bill of health. The problem came at collection. The inspection was carried out without incident. He even complimented me on the condition. I wasn't allowed to use the car after inspection. The collection was arranged for the same day. As the car was being inspected, I got an email saying the car wasn't being collected. After some back and forth with Kinto on the phone, it was arranged for the following Monday. I had to get short term insurance as the car insurance expired that evening. I was also charged £25 for road fund licence for yr 2023/24 and Kinto agreed this was incorrect and would be refunded at the end of the lease. Now, fast forward to today when Kinto are saying they knew nothing about the RFL issue (only send 3 emails and had a reply to them) and that the cost of the insurance and compensation for inconvenience (as offered by Kinto) were not their responsibility. I have asked twice now for their official complaints procedure and been ignored. Overall, customer service post lease is non existant.

I had rented Toyota cars with KINTO twice. It will be no more. During both bookings the KINTO application did not work smoothly. Especially in remote places where all of the sudden I was left with message “can’t unlock the car” and the only key to the car was my phone with the application that did not work. The hassle of rebooting the phone, to (hopefully) get the application back to work, the uncertainty created by the intermittent application error were part of my holiday experience. Not very enjoyable to say the least. However, the main reason why I am resigning from my KINTO membership are sudden unexplained charges to my credit card long after the bookings. For my first booking I was charged an excess cleaning fee of $95 one months after returning the car. One months after the booking! Why wouldn’t someone contact me earlier if really the car was left dirty? Before returning the car, I cleaned and vacuumed it, but there was no one on the ground to check on it. There was also $25 administration fee, that was not explained to me. My second booking ended two weeks ago, and although I had, as previously, carefully cleaned and vacuumed the car I am still not certain what hidden charges KINTO has in store for me this time.
