Just started a few months ago investing in companies and seeing the ones starting not to pay back. Kickfurther actually removed “censored” my question for the company asking why they had not even bothered to respond even though they were late on two payments. Remember kickfurther only cares about the companies and could care less about the investor getting their investment retuned. I would stay away knowing what I know now.

Hi there. We definitely don't think this is the experience you should have, though there are terms of use on what can and can't be said (it's often *how* it's said situation).
Kickfurther absolutely values both our backers and our businesses but our terms of use asks that each side participate in a way that meets those terms. We take corrective action to parties on both sides to help facilitate the obligations between backers and businesses. We're happy to answer questions more specifically if desired at [email protected]. We want you to have a great, profitable experience.

Stay FAR FAR away from this company
Stay FAR away from this company! Full of fraud, and they do very little, if anything, to get your money back.

Very risky investments - Be prepared to lose your principal.
I think most of the reviews here are from the point of views of companies receiving funds via Kickfurther. There arent enough reviews of investors who have invested money into Kickfurther and lost it or are losing money in net terms.
I was a great believer in the idea (pretty sure I was one of their top investors in term of net money invested) , however recent events and investments have made me rethink my Kickfurther strategy and whether it fits into my investing. I am trending net negative despite being on the platform for so long and investing so much.
From a biz model perspective, KF takes a chunk of money when you invest in the company and they again takes a 1.5% chunk when you withdraw.
Simple enough, right? Not really, in my experience as long as things go well, its all nice. My belief if that since they take a chunk of the money on disbursement of funds, they have very little incentive to make money back when the co-op fails. As long as they have new investors who may not be aware of the risk, they wont change this business model. When a co-op goes bad, its removed off Kickfurther's site. So wait, you dont find out how many co-ops are bad debt. I was not able to find an authoritative source for all cancelled co-ops.
Then, although there is a UCC lien on these investments, Kickfurther has unilaterally withour asking the investors(whose money is invested) decided that court judgments are too expensive to pursue and collections work better(I have asked for data around this and received nothing). I believe the expensive part, however I feel since the cost is going to be over the 1.5% they will make off withdrawals they have zero incentive to pursue. So now you are at the mercy of a collection agency, I dont know how this debt is rated but in my experience I have not seen collection agencies do even a fair job in collecting on bad Kickfurther debt.
From experience, I have seen companies continue to engage in business, advertise, do sales etc. while the collection agencies dont seem to be doing anything to be able to recover the money.
Overall, these investments are riskier than they appear and I would caution investors against investing without the capacity to lose your entire principal.
The company staff is overall responsive but will remove a lot of negative reviews and comments from their boards. I have personally been banned multiple times, once for saying a company "stole money" and once for linking to the site of a company that has not paid back.
My main reason for writing this is a hope that the company mends its ways and starts pursuing stronger remedies to win back investor money before regulators jump in.
Response to KF Response:
1. I had not violated any usage term when I said the company is stealing money. Your position was that a company may sue you for saying that hence you deleted my comment. I find that highly improbable that they can sue a medium for a comment by an investor who they owe money and are not paying back.
2. "14.2% IRR since August of 2017" - Incomplete data is equal to no data. Anyone who understands anything about statistics will tell you that the above statement will only impact investment decisions of gullible investors.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review.

Hi Ankit,
We welcome any feedback, whether it's glowing or indicates dissatisfaction. Kickfurther users are open to ask questions, share feedback or make requests within the platform, but we do moderate comments that don't comply with the community guidelines all users agree to. We're proud of our independently verified 14.2% IRR since August of 2017 but apologize if that hasn't been your experience. Thank you for having been a Kickfurther user!

This is a genuinely terrible company…
All of these reviews are from companies that get money from Kickfurther co-ops, NOT from investors. This is a genuinely terrible company for people who want to invest. If a co-op fails (and it happens ALL the time), Kickfurther sends them to collections and forgets about them. They have removed their "cancelled co-ops" page to hide the hundreds of failed co-ops over the years. They don't communicate with investors, remove comments that criticize Kickfuther, and let the investors handle all the risk.

Hi Amy,
We're sorry that you're not pleased with your Co-Op performance. A third-party analysis just listed our average user return over the last 2.5 years at 14.2%, which we're very proud of but understand may not match everyone's immediate or overall experience. Kickfurther uses collections, legal action, personal guarantees and collateral recovery to pursue any outstanding balances and updates buyers of such Co-Ops as those actions unfold. Happy to answer any questions you have if you email our contact address.

Dishonest
Dishonest, horrible business. They recently deleted their "cancelled co-ops" page, so you can't see how many (very, very many) co-ops have gone belly-up. They delete critical comments from their page and restrict negative commenters from ever leaving comments again. Worst of all, they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when a company fails. They send it to collections and forget about it. They don't sue the company or take any action to recover your money. Beware! Run far, far away from this shady business.

They are TERRIBLE
They are TERRIBLE. When a business fails to pay they do nothing but send them to collections. They don't litigate and clearly don't do their due diligence. Be warned, this is a great way to lose money with no recourse.

I do not trust their due diligence…
I do not trust their due diligence efforts. Many/most projects fail. They take 0 responsibility after encouraging the users to trust them
